========================================

Sometimes gaming time is a very limited part of one's overall time, and to that end I often like games that can be completed in roughly two to five hours, give or take. To that end I would like to solicit your feedback on games which can be completed in one dedicated sitting, and which are also worth the effort.

I have unplayed ones which supposedly meet these requirements, but I can't verify yet that they are worth the time to play.

Anyway, please feel free to suggest any that you feel belong on this list. I've omitted titles which in my experience may take longer, or which are episodic rather than complete, or which are multiplayer skirmishes rather than full games. I have also (mostly) excluded shmups, which tend to be short-ish games by their very nature.

Here is the list so far. Bolded titles are available on GOG, as well as included on the GOGmix that accompanies this thread.

Good stuff, adding these to the list. And aye, Limbo is an apt suggestion, I think I finished that in a round or two with a total playing time that fell within the stated goal.

Ittle Dew is pretty short on your first playthrough (2-4 hours at the most if you try to complete everything). I can't really comment on any other game on that list.

Here are some other games (that are short from my experience):

-Thomas Was Alone (2-3 hours)
-Antichamber (2-4 hours)
-Dynamite Jack (3-4 hours)
-Mutant Mudds (2-4 or 5 hours)
-Anodyne (3-5 hours)
-Braid (2-4 hours)
-Limbo (1-3 hours)

Also heard that Dark Matter abruptly ends at 4 hours (or around that time if you don't go as fast).

Anodyne can be completed in 3 hours, if you're savvy. I've spent a little longer with it (around 7), because I'm lazy :p But it's definitely worth it!
Evoland is short too.
The Stanley Parable.
Ben There, Dan That! and Time Gentlemen, Please!

Brilliant and funny point and click adventure games. These can both be completed in 4-6 hours depending how good your puzzle solving skills are.

If you like point and click adventures alot of the episodic tell tale games might work. As each epsiode can be completed in 3-5 hours, again depending on how stuck you get.
Blackwell games - 4-5 hours usually
I second the suggestion for Evoland. Took maybe 4-5 hours to complete at a leisurely pace, and felt pretty rewarding, to boot. Gameplay was really smooth with an Xbox 360 gamepad.
To The Moon!

best 4-5 hours spent you can get :o)

^This. Not sure why I didn't think of it. Beautiful game.
Escape Goat is a very short but fun puzzle game.

There are extra bonus levels which I'm finding very difficult, and I'm sure they'll take longer to get through but the main game took me about 90 minutes to beat first try. It would be even less if you don't do all the optional levels.
