[Review based on Steam version, not GOG's]
I bought Zombie Shooter off Steam probably 4-5 years ago because it looked "cool" and (I believe) was on sale at the time for a few bucks. Graphically it's isometric like Fallout or the Infinity Engine titles, but gameplay-wise it's like a third-person shooter with lite-RPG-esque stats and weapons you can upgrade by killing and collectingread more loot.
I remember being impressed by how intense some of the battles can get (you can get overwhelmed in later levels if you're not careful) and the variety of zombies that you come across, not to mention the detailed death/gore animations. (Definitely NSFW, Kids, or simply those offended by blood and guts)
That said, the game is short and a few times my character got stuck, which required me to restart a full level. (Pretty frustrating at the time) IMO the game doesn't really have replayability despite the "two additional game modes", and if you've played Sigma's Alien Shooter games, you've basically played this only with aliens instead of zombies.
Fun, but perhaps only worthy of purchase when on sale.

Bought the game on Steam some time ago and it kicks ass. Sure, graphics are rather poor, but they also give the game old school charm. It's the gameplay that is awesome. Gunning down massive hordes of zombies is something you have to try yourself. And all the weapon upgrades make it really fun game. You can try playing the whole game with pistols only or buy rocket launchers, miniguns and pule guns. Highly recommended.

Ok, if you played Alien shooter you have played zombie shooter.
They both are fun, but they are so repetitive that you'll grow bored fasted.
The worst is if you have already played Alien Shooter: just replace the enemy graphic.
The gameplay is nice. It's meant to be simple and it keeps so, but, perhaps too much.
The light RPG elements are refreshing but at one point or anotherread more they stop to be meaningfull: u'll stick with the most powerful weapon, and keep shooting at huge numbers of deads that are waiting to appear on the map.
