During the first half of the 21st century, the war on terror became a global phenomenon, as more blatant and frenzied attacks struck deeper into the lives of common people. Inevitably, the public outcry to stop the madness grew to an irresistible level; the military forces of the world slowly but steadily retooled their approach, weapons, and tactics to combat people who were willing to die for their cause. One of the consequences was the harassment of civilians on an unprecedented scale, leaving destruction and misery in its wake.
The world was soon rebuilt and a new age of prosperity and technological progress began. Science focused on creating a viable fusion power source and new technologies which would exploit this new power. A group of corporations was granted almost total freedom in order to pursue these goals. This may have seemed dangerous a hundred years ago, but in 2112 it was considered appropriate and was supposed to foster creativity and growth on an unprecedented scale. It didn't.

Alien and Zombie shooter series games can be summed up as: you are a Picasso with weapons, and deal with daubs of alien blood and guts as your medium. No minimalast painting here, you will be painting with 55 gallon drumfulls of the stuff on your canvas of various rooms.
Like the first one, you have to finish a level to save your progress.
Some differences between the first oneread more and this one.
Much better alien design and variety.
Much more variety in weapons selections as you progress, though some of the mid/high weapons are usable to the end. Still nice upgrades from the first game A portable nuke launcher? Slow, but obviously effective..sign me up for one! Still..alot of easy survival can be summed up as: minigun minigun, minigun!
Introduces skills points into the mix a bit more, as your character levels up, decide where you want to improve your character. Accuracy is one of the best things to assign to, but can't neglect strength (ammo carry capacity) or vitality (hit points for damage you can take). Speed isnt as important.
Like the first, look into every nook and cranny, and explore after killing the monsters in each level, often useful secrets and weapons hidden away to help on your wallet, both to not have to buy as much, and to get money selling them so you can afford the items you really want. Look for cracks in the walls too to blow open the wall and find other secrets.
Perks are useful, but need alot of stat points assigned to them. Best to put your starting bonus experience points to use right away by putting them in your perk, or they arent worth much. Vampirism and money perk are good for beginning players.
LOL< and remember, this isnt like going to the mall, not all about shop shop shop! One of the best plugin modules to boost stats is available midgame, later ones are very good as well, but just a test of your frugalness to that point.
A game you can just pick up anytime, come back to it later for a level or two. Think of it as diablo almost with guns.

I got this game on Steam some time ago, and I can say I have never regretted the investment.
This game is full of guns, aliens, secret rooms and well-paced action to keep you entertained for hours.
A major difference to the Alien Shooter 1 is that your character now gains experience and levels, and with each level you get to enhance your attributes for more health, accuracy, speed, read more strength or intelligence, and a special ability which you choose in the beginning of game, and which vary from finding extra money to regenerating health and several others.
To further enhance your abilities you can purchase special implants that boost your skills and stats so that you can move faster, do more damage, carry more and take more punishment from the aliens.
The weapons vary from a simple nailgun to big pistols, massive miniguns, laser miniguns, rocket launchers and energy weapons, all suited for different styles of play.
The selection is staggering.
To reduce the damage you take you can buy suits of body armour which also affect the appearance of your character, depending what type of armour it is.
Miscellaneous utilities and tools include flashloghts, night vision goggles, medical kits, attack drones and a scanner, and some other bits.
The gameplay is quite fun, with some outdoor driving levels where you drive an armoured car with a machine gun and mow down massive hordes of aliens.
So if you loved Alien Shooter 1, you will love this even more! And even the price won't break the bank, at $5.99

This is not exactly the deepest game I've ever played. In fact, it doesn't really bother to come close. There's a story, but it's fairly shallow; the meat of the game is stepping into a room, having more aliens than you can count come screaming out at you, and blowing them all away with every weapon you've got.
All in all, it's just good clean fun. Well, minus the clean, anyway.read more You have a variety of weapon choices, although there's not a lot of difference between the different weapons inside each subtype aside from stats and occasionally altered sounds, except for a few special cases.
