Currently going CE Scion, but want to also do a good play-through.

Inspired by this image: (attached)

reminds me of warhammer knights, with those goofy hats. So I really wanna do a 2handed frontliner as MC, and was thinking about using bard as a part of the build, even tho it will double with Linzi.
Archaeologist doesn't get songs right? But does get uncanny dodge...

Was thinking 2hnd fighter, with bard (either 2 dip archaeologist or other sub-type) and mithral armor?.

Requirement: Good alignment, armored, 2handed bastard sword/similar, bard or in its spirit of charismatic and theatric. Don´t know if you can min-max that since doesnt seem like a good mesh to begin with. And using armor on top.
Attachments:
2h/bard/Med Armor build for Coralfang.

Race: Aasimar(Angelkin)*
*Had to be done. I tried really hard to fit in Alchemist for extra AC and wings on a human, but ultimately it doesn't fit in too well for what we are doing here. Too much to sacrifice and DLC-dependent as well. We need them wings as we are already scraping by for every point of AC here.

Stats:
Str: 19 > 24 +4DD = 28
Dex: 13*. With some items it will do. .
Con: 14
Int: 13. Kept for skill-points mostly.
Wis: 7. Paladin levels will fix it
Cha: 16. About as charismatic as we can afford.
Can go for 19/14/14/11/7/16 for extra AC for most of the game or more balanced 17/14/14/14/8/16 that would net +1AC for most of the game, and more skill-points.

Main skills: Mobility 3, Knowledge: Arcana 5, Persuasion (max)
Suggested secondary skills: Whatever you feel like. Some points in Use Magic Device won't hurt for sure. Knowledge: World is thematically fitting. Athletics you have giant bonuses to, so at least 1 point is not bad.

Final Build: Paladin(Divine Hunter) 2 / Bard(Archaeologist) 4 / Dragon Disciple 4 / Eldritch Knight 10

Bloodline: Doesn’t really matter. Choose whatever you feel is thematic.
Deity: Whatever you feel like. Shelin is a staple bard god but we are less of a classic bard, so maybe Irori would fit in better.

Detailed leveling breakdown:
Lvl 1: Paladin - Dodge
Lvl 2: Paladin
Lvl 3: Bard - Armor Focus: Medium
Lvl 4: Bard - Combat Trick: Improved Unarmed Strike
Lvl 5: Bard - Crane Style
Lvl 6: Dragon Disciple
Lvl 7: Dragon Disciple - Outflank // Power Attack
Lvl 8: Dragon Disciple
Lvl 9: Dragon Disciple - Weapon Focus: Greatsword
Lvl 10: Bard
Lvl 11: Eldritch Knight - Wings // Improved Critical: Greatsword
Lvl 12: Eldritch Knight
Lvl 13: Eldritch Knight - Dazzling Display
Lvl 14: Eldritch Knight
Lvl 15: Eldritch Knight - Shatter Defences // Dreadful Carnage*
Lvl 16: Eldritch Knight
Lvl 17: Eldritch Knight - Intimidating Prowess
Lvl 18: Eldritch Knight
Lvl 19: Eldritch Knight - Combat Expertise** // Greater Weapon Focus: Greatsword
Lvl 20: Eldritch Knight
*Optional. Can be swapped for Blind Fight. Technically, Only blindness you should care for is from Wild hunt and by then you should have some immunity cloaks from Artisan Tailor, but it’s an option.
**Optional. Can be swapped with either Blind Fight or Weapon Specialization. Taken in case you would need that extra AC.

Spells by level in order of importance:
Lvl1: Cure Light Wounds, Remove Fear, Vanish
Lvl2: Mirror Image, Sense Vitals, Glitterdust, Cure Moderate Wounds
Lvl3: Displacement, Haste, Good Hope, Cure Serious Wounds, Delay Poison(Communal)
Lvl4: Freedom of Movement, Greater Invisibility, Cure Critical Wounds, Dimension Door, Echolocation
Lvl5: Heroism(Greater), Dispel Magic(Greater), Summon Monster V*, Cure Light Wounds(Mass)
Lvl6: Brilliant Inspiration, Cure Moderate Wounds(Mass)
*Optional. Nothing better is at hand so might as well have an option to summon some trash.

Gear: Whatever best armor you can find before trolls. Heart of valor for most of the game, Singing Steel late.
There is greatsword +1 in act1. Hell if I remember where.
Greatsword +2 +Corrosive can be gotten from Master.
Endless War +5 you can get if you kill Barbarians in that defaced sister encounter.
Swift Blow is +4 from Artisans. Nothing too special about it, but at least you have precise shot for umbral strike should you use it
Remnant is the best one. from killing Hag in the House at the end of time
AC rings, +Stat hats and belts, etc.
.
Should be pretty solid so long as you don’t bring her to hard or something. Retains almost full BAB(18) while being a 16CL Bard by lvl20. With endless dungeon DLC coming soon it should be more realistic.

Really-really wants Jubilost in the party for shield spell through infusion and eventual Legendary Proportions.

Has decent amount of skills and quite a bit of protective spells. At lvl20 will be able to cast for free on crit, but really even before that high STR fighter with displacement and Haste of her own is not too shabby. Gets intimidation stuff a bit late, but it will do.

Extend Rods For Displacement/Haste are your friends.

Paladin is taken for martial weapons and armor access along with a nice boost to saves and occasional smite evil.

Wow thank you very much, specially with the fast reply!

The +1 GS is in Old Sycamore if I remember correctly. Looks like I will have some fun with the build!

*edit: And yes, can´t wait for the endless dungeon. Sounds like it would be a lot of fun to test builds

Thank you for this! I have been using a lot of the builds from your other post here and am enjoying them immensely.

I do have a request for a build:

Dual Wielding or single light weapon
Leather or Unarmored
Pet that is combat effective
Able to tank - prefer self buffing with shield, mirror image, etc.

In my head I have some crazy mix of Sacred Hunt Master with Monk and Sylvan Sorc but I can't seem to come up with anything. Your Mad Doge build is good, I am just looking for more casting without killing the BAB if possible.

In essence I am looking for a light or no armored tank that does ok dpr and has a level appropriate pet. Uses magic- prefer arcane but if not, any is fine.

Min/Max and Multiclassing are encouraged!

A question If I may since I'm new to pathfinder in general: I keep hearing this term crop up. Min/maxing, what does it mean before I ask questions about my build so I don't sound like a comeplete idiot. (multiclassing that I know of: it's pretty self explanatory)

it's minimizing one stat and maxing other instead of balancing them around. Totally 100% NOT what you should do at the table in PnP. Never ever. More or less the same applies to excessive multiclassing. But, as far as I'm concerned most single-player games are about exploiting systems, so I see nothing bad so long as the game actually does not penalize you for it.

Arcane/Pet/Finesse build for pthomp81

Race: Aasimar(Muse-Touched)
Again, if we want to survive any sort of melee we need wings. The confines of the build just won’t let us get Vivisectionist while keeping pet progression. There is only so much that can be done. I guess you can go Halfling instead without too much lost. Low STR will be pita in the beginning, though.

Alignment: NG

Stats:
Str: 7
Dex: 19 > 24
Con: 14
Int: 7
Wis: 8
Cha: 20.
7/19/14/14/7/18 will bring more Skill-Points at the cost of AC(that we really can’t afford, but it’s your call)

Main skills: Mobility 3
Suggested secondary skills: Whatever you feel like. Persuasion is always good on MC. Some Points in Use Magic Device won’t hurt either. Trickery is nice if you have more skills. Same with Stealth or mobility.

Final Build: Barbarian(Mad Dog) 2 / Sorcerer(Sylvan) 14 / Monk(Scaled Fist) 1 / Inquisitor(Sacred Huntsmaster) 3

Deity: Abadar
Domain: Travel
Pet: Leopard/Smilodon

Detailed leveling breakdown:
Lvl 1: Barbarian - Weapon Finesse
Lvl 2: Barbarian
Lvl 3: Monk* - Weapon Focus: Rapier // Crane Style
Lvl 4: Sorcerer - Combat Casting
Lvl 5: Sorcerer - Fencing Grace: Rapier
Lvl 6: Sorcerer
Lvl 7: Sorcerer - Outflank
Lvl 8: Sorcerer
Lvl 9: Sorcerer - Crane Wing
Lvl 10: Sorcerer - Dodge
Lvl 11: Sorcerer - Wings
Lvl 12: Sorcerer
Lvl 13: Sorcerer - Improved Critical: Rapier
Lvl 14: Sorcerer
Lvl 15: Sorcerer - Crane Riposte
Lvl 16: Sorcerer - Point-Blank Shot
Lvl 17: Sorcerer - Precise Shot
Lvl 18: Inquisitor
Lvl 19: Inquisitor - Combat Reflexes
Lvl 20: Inquisitor - Seize the Moment
*Take Monk as soon as you possibly can. You should start shifting to law on every occasion from the get go.

Spells by level in order of importance:
Lvl1: Mage Armor, Shield, Reduce Person, Vanish, True Strike
Lvl2: Mirror Image, Glitterdust, Sense Vitals, Scorching Ray
Lvl3: Haste, Displacement, Resist Energy(Communal)
Lvl4: Animate Dead, Stoneskin, Dimension Door, Enervation
Lvl5: Geniekind, Animal Growth, Angelic Aspect
Lvl6: Transformation, Heroism(Greater). Dispel Magic(Greater)*
Lvl7: Waves of Exhaustion
*free from sylvan sorc

Gear: agile pick from old sycamore asap, there is also an agile Rapier in stag lords fort from one of his generals. Then there are some from masters, there is one sold at the tournament and and from the fight in pitax I’m not mistaken and the best one is at the end of time don’t exactly remember where(from the trader maybe?).
LG monk robes from armags tomb, AC Bracers, rings, Stat belts/hats.

Now I have to say what needs to be said: This build largely sucks. There, I said it. Worst thing that bites us in the rear is the need to keep up pet progression, while picking up arcane spells and somehow killing things in melee on top of that. Well… that aint exactly happening however hard you try - can’t have it all. Or rather can't have it all at the same time without severe problems midgame.

Given you did not specify being actually good in melee I made some executive decisions on this one:
-We need Mad Dog 2. Those 2 AB will make our lives considerably less miserable for prolonged amount of time. It delays spellcasting, but otherwise it will be even more of a mess.
-We need an alignment shift sometime soon to pick up monk and hopefully stop being hit in melee by bandits grandma
-Pick up rapier as a sole primary weapon. No way in hell we will find enough feats to make DW work. And on top of that neither of our core classes exactly boost AC. I know rapier is not exactly a light weapon but it can be used as such and is fencing enough as far as I’m concerned. Alternative would be using a dagger but given almost all good daggers are tied to artisans too much luck would be involved. Also Daggers have lower crit range and damage, so that's bad as well. Feel free if you want to use those instead.

Now to the good news. Good news are come lvl 15 most of your problems will vanish as you will get Transformation. I mean your damage will be tolerable with sense vitals and all other damage buffs, you will be able to hit stuff and have a pet - that should count for something. Another good thing is you have Waves of Exhaustion to debuff your enemies - good stuff.

Since we didn’t make it tanky enough fairly.. Bonus cheese: Mage Armor stacks with armor bracers for whatever reason. Do with it as you will.

I think I did about as well as I could. Please, don’t take this one above challenging - you will hate me and everyone around for it. Probably would be better without Sacred Huntsmaster and more Sorc Levels, but making pet combat-viable was one of the requirements and it's not good enough without outflank and seize the moment.

All right now that I have gone over the various classes for Sorcerer... I'd like a build with as much Charisma as we can be doable for the Sage Sorcerer with maybe some in Intelligence. (If I remember right those are good for Sorcerers) Feel free to dip into another class if need be to multiclass build but I would like this character to focused on being a mostly pure magic user (who will be a Good alignment Half-Elf most likely... about 90% sure) I have most of the dlcs except for the expansion but that may be changing in few days.

just so we are on the same page. Sage sorcerer uses INT for his spellcasting. Cha is about as useful for him as for the fighter apart from obvious persuasion stuff. You mean you want sage sorc with charisma for RP reasons? because if not Arcane Sorc is what you are looking for.
Arcane/Pet/Finesse build for pthomp81

Interesting what you came up with, I appreciate the time you took to come up with this. I think I had a beastlord in mind from the Everquest games and wanted to see if it could be duplicated here. You are right, can't have everything!

You do an amazing service with this- thank you!

Hi (again :) )

if you find the time, is there a possible damage dealer build for a druid (if possible not a caster per se)? Multiclassing shouldnt be overdone, min maxing in terms of stats, if only 1 at 7 would be nice. I guess I am think Feral Druid from WoW.
Half-Elf Sage Sorc with Cha for kevanick

Race: Half-Elf // By request

Alignment: w/e

Stats:
Str: 7
Dex: 14
Con: 14
Int: 19 > 24
Wis: 11
Cha: 14. By request. We have no real use for it, but w/e.
Not much we can do here with points in Cha by request. At least out int is high. We’ll manage, just no ray spells for us.

Main skills: Persuasion(Max)
Suggested secondary skills: Whatever you feel like.

Final Build: Sorcerer(Sage) 20.

Detailed leveling breakdown:
Lvl 1: Sorcerer - Spell Focus: Evocation // Spell Specialization* // Skill Focus: Persuasion
Lvl 2: Sorcerer
Lvl 3: Sorcerer - Elemental Focus: Fire
Lvl 4: Sorcerer
Lvl 5: Sorcerer - Greater Elemental Focus: Fire
Lvl 6: Sorcerer
Lvl 7: Sorcerer - Toughness // Greater Spell Focus: Evocation
Lvl 8: Sorcerer
Lvl 9: Sorcerer - Metamagic: Heighten spell
Lvl 10: Sorcerer
Lvl 11: Sorcerer - Elemental Focus: Electricity
Lvl 12: Sorcerer
Lvl 13: Sorcerer - Greater Elemental Focus: Electricity // Spell Penetration
Lvl 14: Sorcerer
Lvl 15: Sorcerer - Metamagic: Quicken Spell
Lvl 16: Sorcerer
Lvl 17: Sorcerer - Metamagic: Empower Spell
Lvl 18: Sorcerer
Lvl 19: Sorcerer - Blind Fight // Improved Initiative
Lvl 20: Sorcerer -
*Pick Spell Focus as sorc feat and Specialization as regular.

Arcana: Dragon’s Breath, Chain Lightning, Ki Shout
Specializations:
1-3 Burning Hands
4-5 Burning Arc
6-8 Fireball
9-10 Dragon’s Breath
11-13 Fire Snake
14-18 Chain Lightning
19-20 Sirocco

Spells by level in order of importance:
Lvl1: Burning Hands, Mage Armor, Shield, Reduce Person, True Strike, Magic Missile*
Lvl2: Burning Arc, Mirror Image, Glitterdust, Sense Vitals, Scorching Ray, Invisibility*
Lvl3: Fireball, Displacement, Haste. Resist Energy(Communal)
Lvl4: Animate Dead, Dragon’s Breath, Stoneskin, Dimension Door, Enervation
Lvl5: Fire Snake, Cloudkill, Echolocation, Icy Prison
Lvl6: Sirocco, Chain Lightning, Heroism(Greater). Dispel Magic(Greater)
Lvl7: Waves of Exhaustion, Firebrand, Legendary Proportions, Ki Shout
Lvl8: Seamantle, Stormbolts. Protection From Spells,
Lvl9:Fiery Body, Mind Blank(Communal), Icy Prison(Mass)
*free from Sage Sorc

Gear: Fire Robes and whatever standard fare you got, Ring of circumstances for extra DC and Int

A few words about this one: Yes, arcane(and sage) sorcs make far better conjuerors and necromancers. I know. But using rays with a handicap of 14 dex is not realistic. If we could dump either cha or int - sure it would be different. As is I was forced into Evoker with several elements to cover for it somehow. It’s not so bad. He has a bit of control, A lot of AoE spells to spam and good DC on most anything he’d care to use. If you ever will be forced to use his rays - cast true strike beforehand, not that it’d help a ton, but it's something. Also there is Literally no point dipping 1 into monk for AC here. our dex/cha are 14/14. that won't be enough to go overboard on AC.

Late when fully buffed might even be decently tanky by normal standards. Still is made of paper and tbh relies more on invisibility and quicken Dimension Doors than anything as he’ll likely die should something look at him funny.

Now the good news. 35-39DC spells are no joke. Even for hard it’s not too bad*(not tht I recommend gimmicky RP-ish builds to be used above challenging or even normal for that matter).

Use metamagic extensively to fill the levels with more variety. And use rods too. There is nothing like that unique empower/maximize rod with a heightened lvl9 Chain lightning. It’s pretty fun. Has ki shout to cover more bases, Icy prison is good as even on save it still entangles.

Overall it’s a solid caster that is immune to everything, but physical attacks.
