For all their efforts it's still stuck in DVD SD resolution, it'll never be up to the quality a proper, official remaster could be.

Also, the more I look at it, the more it bothers me that they keep editing visual effects... we want the original film given a new, colour corrected transfer, that is all. Why must everyone keep messing with it?

unicron turned his prison in to the planet i linked
primus turned his astroid in a mechnical planet and created the transformers to fight in his stead

darthspudius: Oh transformers has some hilarious fan issues. Me, I love the cartoons and I really enjoyed the movies for what they were. But in no way will I ever get to debating them. But these guys are fecking scary. They go into more detail than Trek fans and are dorkier, uglier and more goblin like than Star Wars fans. Very scary.

I quite enjoyed the third movie, it had a very cartoon like quality to it. The extremely loose plot was just so 80's it was brilliant. That and I love the episodes it was based on haha.

i just disliked the so called "humor"
and far too many damn fleshies who were grating me to no end

4 toned down the humor considerably and the new cast is a lot more likable then the old ones ( each time spams parents come on screen i want to throw things )

and there were other problems with 3

on the whole i like the 86 animated movie beast wars and machines and animated and the comics better

All I and many, MANY Star Wars fan want is someone to simply give the theatrical releases a remastering (Hell, the VHS remaster was perfect, sans the terrible video format) and put those on a disc. No added effects, no altered dialogue or scene bullshit, just the movies as we grew up with in HD.
That would be nice, wouldn't it? I pretty much gave up on that long ago. Thankfully, I have the unaltered versions on DVD from the release that came with both special and original edition. Unfortunately, very little was done to 'remaster' the latter. =/

id buy the blu ray box set in an instant whit those laser disc transfers ( cause thats what they are )

Growing up in the 80s should of helped you threw that shit. I mean, all those movies with horrific humour and awful dialogue... it was the 80s!

Yeah I have those versions too, I hate that it's clear no care was given to the transfers so that Lucas could make his beloved "special" editions look better. Couldn't even give us a transfer based on the rather lovely remastered VHS releases? For shame.
