darthspudius: You know, when they remastered Star Trek with new FX... it was actually very well done. Shame Star Wars does not get that kind of treatment! :D
some were wel done some where arse

and in star wars case instead of fixing the by then wonky special effects it was used as an excuse to "fix"every fucking thing

I haven't seen a bad remaster of Trek yet. The sooner they get to Deep Space Nine the better.

But the whole thing with Star wars, I mean for the love of Spock's ghost... why can't they leave it alone haha. I'd love to see the people who did that specific CGI work on the films in an interview.

in some cases the cgi is very obviously cgi
i have tos on vhs and the remasters on dvd i kinda like the originals vhs versions better btu that sbecause the softer vhs actually masks the wonky special effects

especially the first tos remasters cgi looks a bit iffy

and no comment on what i said about the splintered transformers fandom ? ;p
That's no moon.
indeed it is not http://damaged-design.com/images/sampledata/Blog_Art/unicron/wip_05.jpg

ReynardFox: I just want a Blu-Ray release of the un-fucked-with theatrical cuts of the original trilogy. Don't let me down Disney. -.-
I have a couple VHS tapes in the cellar - that help?
I think you mean "That's no space station. It's... the Peace Moon!"
Star Wars = the original trilogy . Loved them . The new trilogy sucks .

Also i prefer the Star Trek series .

Oh transformers has some hilarious fan issues. Me, I love the cartoons and I really enjoyed the movies for what they were. But in no way will I ever get to debating them. But these guys are fecking scary. They go into more detail than Trek fans and are dorkier, uglier and more goblin like than Star Wars fans. Very scary.

No. I too have them on VHS.

All I and many, MANY Star Wars fan want is someone to simply give the theatrical releases a remastering (Hell, the VHS remaster was perfect, sans the terrible video format) and put those on a disc. No added effects, no altered dialogue or scene bullshit, just the movies as we grew up with in HD.

and i rather ...dislike the movies the first and fourth are okay 2 and 3 are garbage

and yes transformers fans can be ...very...uh.......very ...passionate like so http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Raksha

beast wars ruined transformers foreveah !!!
a little thing a lot of fandoms regularly profess http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Ruined_FOREVER

at least tf fans have a deliciously snarky none too serious wiki
