One of the most anticipated releases of this year is now available on GOG in its full glory – Baldur’s Gate 3 from Larian Studios. The time has come to gather your party, and return to the Forgotten Realms in a tale of fellowship and betrayal, sacrifice and survival, and the lure of absolute power.

Digital Deluxe Edition Upgrade is also available in our catalog. Remember that if you’ve purchased the game during its early access, you will get the Upgrade for free!

After more than 20 years you once again immerse yourself in one of the most iconic series of video games and embark on the grand RPG adventure that is here to redefine the genre, just like the original entry did all those years ago.

Prepare for the expansive and original story, a vast, detailed and diverse world, a grand, cinematic narrative, great character customization, evolved, turn-based combat based on the D&D 5e ruleset, and just so much more. Prepare for Baldur’s Gate 3!

In the third entry of this iconic series, mysterious abilities are awakening inside you, drawn from a Mind Flayer parasite planted in your brain. You are turning into a monster, but as the corruption inside you grows, so does your power. That power may help you to survive, but there will be a price to pay, and more than any ability, the bonds of trust that you build within your party could be your greatest strength.

You’ll choose from a wide selection of D&D races and classes, or play as an origin character with a hand-crafted background. Adventure, loot, battle and romance as you journey through the Forgotten Realms and beyond. Play alone, and select your companions carefully, or as a party of up to four in multiplayer.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is truly a next generation RPG. Forged with the new Divinity 4.0 engine, it gives you unprecedented freedom to explore, experiment, and interact with a world that reacts to your choices. A grand, cinematic narrative brings you closer to your characters than ever before, as you venture through Larian’s biggest world yet.

The Forgotten Realms are as alive as they’ve never been, filled with detail and secrets to discover. Here, no adventure will ever be the same, and how you survive, and what mark you leave on the world, is up to you.

Of course, such a grand release is bound to completely overtake our gaming sessions. That’s why we’d like to invite you to join not one, not two, but seven Baldur’s Gate 3 streams on our Twitch Channel! Some of them will include a multiplayer adventure, here’s a schedule:

Thursday, August 3rd, 8 PM UTC, NoodleBeefNoodle
Friday, August 4th, 7 PM UTC, Multiplayer: KaurTube and Marc
Saturday, August 5th, 1 AM UTC, LovelustGames
Saturday, August 4th, 12 PM UTC, Multiplayer: Inanda and her son RockAndRollNerd
Sunday, August 6th, 11am UTC, KingArgaroth
Sunday, August 6th, 5 PM UTC, Multiplayer: DarkSaber2k and Piranjade
Monday, August 7th, 9 PM UTC, Kaurtube

See you in the chat!

Prepare for an unforgettable adventure no matter if you’re a series veteran, a complete newcomer, an RPG lover or somebody who wants to try out the genre for the first time. Baldur’s Gate 3 will most likely steal your heart and provide hundreds of hours of fun.

MegisED: The WAV soundtrack on GOG seems to be incomplete, it's missing 9 out of the 43 tracks.
avatar
Swedrami: Tracks 4, 14, 16, 22, 25, 26, 31, 33 and 43, specifically.
We'll look into it, thanks guys!
According to the game's page, BG3 doesn't feature cloud-saving. Strange.

funnyonion: You're angry because you can't masturbate over the characters?
Wanting good looking characters in games doesn't automatically mean you must whip it out immediately whenever you see one. This argument is so outdated at this point, you should really find a new one.

Or do you go to a museum, walk up to a Mona Lisa painting and are left with no choice other than to start pumping? Do your urges control you that much that's the only thing you can think of? Appreciating something appealing/objectively good looking is much easier, no matter what it is.

So I have to disagree with your "OK, coomer" remark.

Although I wouldn't go that far as calling the BG 3 characters outright ugly, it's pretty mild actually. That should be reserved for games like the latest Mortal Kombat or Fable.

TT_TT_TT_TT: For me it showed as owned when opening - https://www.gog.com/en/game/baldurs_gate_3_digital_deluxe_edition_upgrade and i could manually select it in Galaxy under DLC Selection after installing the main game (like was not autoadded but i could install it after downloading the main game)
avatar
WingsOfRequiem: for me, it's not showing under Manage Installation->Configure->DLC, it shows "No results"

and in the store it's showing me that I need to buy it, despite owning EA for over a year now I think
Hope it showed up by now. For the case that they somehow did it incrementally - i was owning BG3 since January 2021 so maybe this is why i got it first? (just wild guessing here)

Ancient-Red-Dragon: literally every single character in the game is aesthetically displeasing to look at, a.k.a. ugly.

That is actually not quite bad at all. The androgen style, it is all there.
I thought the Drow Half-Elf sorceress I made a test run with in the Beta was quite easy on the eyes.
As far as companions are concerned Shadowheart isn't that hard to look at either.

I'm trrying to buy the Digital Duluxe upgrade as a gift. It woun't let me purchase it. Can I not gift this item? Why would I need to own the base game to buy a gift?

It's a fail-safe the site has so you don't buy DLC for games you don't own. If you were able to do that, you would end up buying content you can't use.

Ok. But that used to disappear when I'd select that it was a gift order. It wouldn't let you purchase it, then when you click "This is a gift" it would disable the blockade so I could buy DLC Ifor a game I don't own asa gift. This isn't letting me do that.

EDIT: Nevermind, I just had to put in a gift email address. I forgot about that. No harm.

I'm more of a fan of Lae'Zel and Karlach, which is somewhat of a pain as my MC is a melee character and with Shadowheart being my 4th party member I have no room for a wizard or well, anything magey.
Could've specced Lae'Zel into an Eldritch Knight, but the Battle Master subclass is just too good too pass up. :P

A bit unrelated, but orcs/half-orcs are the best. It had to be said.

What did everyone go with for their first attempt then?

I thought to make it a little more interesting and instead of the standard blank slate with one of the run-of-the-mill backgrounds I went for the Dark Urge origin, with a Human Monk.
Also in the hopes that this way there's going to be additional connection or continuity even (besides Minsc or Jaheira) to the original Baldur's Gate and/or Shadows of Amn/Throne of Bhaal.

Solo for now, which has been manageable thus far, even on Tactician. No doubt difficulty is going to ramp up eventually, and there will be no way around teaming up.

I had to re-roll because I forgot to change my class to ranger :( Didn't realize I had blonde highlights until I landed on the beach. I guess I'll live with it.

I faced the same dilemma when I levelled up Lizzy (is it okay if I call Lae'zel Lizzy?)
