Patch 1.2.11 is now live!

This week we have been working hard on a new reputation system to reflect your standing with the local folks. Standing is now represented through a number of status effects. The changes are implemented for towns, but also for encounters such as bandit camps.

There are also several bug fixes. The most important ones concern the reliability of the bow (which was misfiring quite often) and a potential fix for the numerous black screens people have been reporting. The latter issues remain somewhat elusive so we probably didn’t quite catch them all. Yet.

New Features

Lit torches in wall sconces actually produce light.
Redesign of the status / reputation system: the way local look at you is represented through status effects.

Bug Fixes

Potential fix for the game staying black after alt-tabbing or switching between nodes. (This bug remains hard to reproduce for us, so it is impossible to be certain if this fix works).
Potential fix for two characters overlapping during character creation (this bug also proved hard to reproduce).
When you ally with a clan without befriending them first the achievement for becoming friends still unlocks.
Fixes issue with proto material visual clues being repeated over and over at a vantage point.
Making ground material from ramps to be more consistent, preventing accidental blockades on narrow, mountainous paths.
Fixing a few issues that caused bows to misfire after switching weapons after drawing but not firing, or when waiting long before releasing an arrow.
Fixing issue with incorrectly linked stairs.

Other changes

Removed the old barrow ghost encounter from the world generation.

Extra patch 1.2.11.1

This morning I found a bug report in my email that finally allowed me to get some grip on the camping issue that was reported a couple of time last week. It felt like Christmas came early, (or rather Sinterklaas came late ;) ). In any case that and a few other issues warrant another quick patch!

Bug Fixes

Allied status is properly awarded when you are allied to a clan.
When you camp a second time in a different level of the same map node, the camping menu appears correctly.
Prevent the generator from placing turrets in an area marked as a campsite in a few instances.
Near a Magic Hearth, campsites are no longer automatically hidden.

Other changes

Status effects are represented differently when dealing with Imperials.

NecroBouncer | Patch 1.0.3

Greetings, club members!

A small follow-up update, with a few fixes based on issues reported by the community.

Changes

The game will now save the progress after every beaten room, so that the game will be saved in case of an unfortunate crash.
All levelling relics are now double checked and unlocked at the start of every run if necessary, which should prevent the game from ever getting stuck in the level up screen.
The Protection Statue now kills enemies at the end through code instead of collider and also not everyone at once, which should decrease the risk of that room causing a crash.
The game will now check a few additional things when trying to load a saved run, so in case of a crash, it should delete the saved run (in the case something isn’t ok) but it should still save the progress of the game.

We hope you enjoy your stay in the club, while we bring more & more changes to the game to make it better. As always, all of your feedback throughout the past few days was highly appreciated.

Changes

Removed a bunch of unnecessary logs and errors and added some markers throughout the game which will make it easier to debug.
The wind-up animation of the Pistol Whipper (trap door enemy 4th floor) has been extended a bit.
Explosion damage (from things like Jalapeno, Ghost Pepper, etc.) has been reduced from 40 to 25.
Damage from chain lightning has been reduced from 30 to 25.

Fixes

Fixed the issue that sometimes made it possible to loop the final floor after defeating the final boss.
Fixed the issue that made the saved run break if you saved it right after beating a boss.

Fixed a bug related to Missions - Taking a crew member as refugee failed the mission.
Fixed the Comfort values of the Ore Processor - Discomfort of the Ore Processor was going through walls too much. (Intention is still to have it at a small leakage, due to vibrations, noise and smell. Walls block discomfort to a good degree, but not completely. Walls + some space is needed.)
