Final surprise of the GOG 17th Anniversary!

From its haunting beginnings to a bold new era – SILENT HILL f is now available on GOG, alongside its Digital Deluxe Edition and Digital Deluxe Upgrade!

For decades, Silent Hill has stood as one of gaming’s most powerful explorations of fear, emotion, and the human psyche. Now, with SILENT HILL f, the series embraces a new generation while staying true to the heart that defined it. We’re proud to welcome this title to GOG, where it is DRM-free and yours to keep forever.

Check it out!

Please note that the Pink Rabbit Costume DLC and Bonus DLC (including the Artbook and OST) are currently available only through GOG GALAXY. We’re aware of the issue and are working on a fix to make them fully accessible offline in the coming days. We apologize for the inconvenience.

I know some are happy with the Silent Hill 2 remake but I would honestly like a Silent Hill 2 PC release that fixes the huge problem the original release has and see it get the Silent Hill 3 PC treatment similar to how we got the old Resident Evil's on here.

edit: As for Suikoden I would just be happy with 5 getting a release here with Japanese text as an option.

It is now!

Despite some gamers having in mind gaming has never been that pricey, or their purse never that small... despite those circumstances... Sony just was announcing that the PS5 was now their most successful console generation ever if it comes to the revenue; making 136 billion in sales so far.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/1nre58v/sony_says_ps5_is_the_most_successful_playstation/

Of course, compared to it... GOGs revenue is like a tiny gnome, barely showing up at the planets surface. Anyway, apparently the overall money flow has not become decreased, such hints are usually very personal.

However, it is still true that only a tiny bit of the extremely huge increase in "liquidity" is ever going down to the commoner people... and like over 90% is at a spot the big majority never ever got access to it, with increased tendency. A bit of it is still "going down"... but rather occasionally. In the end... the commoners got a increased purchasing power world wide... although it only goes up in very small numbers, compared to the huge "total capacity" available.

At least... if GOG is keeping up the "new increase in release-quality" then their revenue may soon increase as well. They simply need more quality assets... and preferably not to far after launch.

I see that sarcasm goes right over your head.
God, do you read everything literally?

You guys are funny. If the story doesnt connect for continuity, then the story has nothing to do with the series= its a cash grab with nothing to do with the series. Ergo totally different games. Their staff even said so with part 4 lol

But enough of me feeding the trolls >_>

ProfessorIcepick: Man, Konami will do anything besides give you those old ports of Silent Hills 2 and 3, huh? It's kind of impressive.
avatar
ReynardFox: To be absolutely fair, they did lose the source code to SH 2&3 which is why the HD console ports are a sloppy mess built off older, incomplete builds, so unless they can find some talent to reverse engineer or rebuild them without it costing a lot, they're more likely going to just keep ignoring them.
That's the thing. They don't need to make new ports. Hell, SH2: Enhanced Edition is literally built off of the original retail PC release from back in the day.

Aren't SH2 and 3 not here because of legal issues, such as the voice actors? I'm quite sure GOG would solve any big technical issues, considering how well these would sell.

Heck GOG would probably bring SH1 via emulation if they could, based on the Dreamlist votes.

https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/?title=Silent&show_only_unreleased=1&sort=global_wishlist_votes_count&order=desc

- SH 1 and 2 each have over 100,000 votes (and probably less than a dozen games have reached that high), and SH3 has over 55,000.

I understand a remake of Silent Hill one is in the works.
Still wonder why it was never ported over to computers.
Which is why I have never played a Silent Hill game. I never owned a gaming console, and since thre seems to be a defienent carry over from game to game until Silend Hill F...I want to start at the beginning.

No no, SH f is just completely standalone, but most of the titles are pretty independent with only a few references and links here and there, really the only exceptions are SH and SH3 (and maybe origins if you want to throw that in)

But SH2, the room, homecoming and downpour tell their own stories

I hope they add the other games.

In the back of my mind i've been considering this still but, nope, can't commit, i mean, as much i like to support meaningful releases on gog it's not like gog exists in a void and sponsoring this type of pricing here or wherever, i just can't.

Wishlisted for now.

vv221: Why writing such lies?

We all know too well that you are not going to do that, as you are more than happy to gate access to game content behind your Galaxy DRM, as part of your vendor lock-in scheme. This is not an accident, and is not going to be "fixed".
9 days later, offline installers for these DLCs have been made available.
