Final surprise of the GOG 17th Anniversary!

From its haunting beginnings to a bold new era – SILENT HILL f is now available on GOG, alongside its Digital Deluxe Edition and Digital Deluxe Upgrade!

For decades, Silent Hill has stood as one of gaming’s most powerful explorations of fear, emotion, and the human psyche. Now, with SILENT HILL f, the series embraces a new generation while staying true to the heart that defined it. We’re proud to welcome this title to GOG, where it is DRM-free and yours to keep forever.

Check it out!

Please note that the Pink Rabbit Costume DLC and Bonus DLC (including the Artbook and OST) are currently available only through GOG GALAXY. We’re aware of the issue and are working on a fix to make them fully accessible offline in the coming days. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Jinini: If they do count, its a huge risk factor. Ex. you could go and create 20 accounts here, leave a bad review without wanting to buy it on day 1 to hurt the devs, b/c u have a grudge against their previous release of another game that had something or another that put u on a path of revenge for whatever petty reason.
That sort of stuff makes me think it shouldnt be posible /shrug.
Unless ofc u got the option to link it/prove u own it elsewhere so u go in the verified category:)
There already is a separate review score of all reviews vs verified owner reviews only. Again, a non-issue.

Silent Hill 4 is once again very nearly selling out a newly released Konami game. How long until Konami learns the right lessons?

SeanDestroyU: $106.49 Canadian ....

Even if I were filthy rich, I would not pay that for a full game. Ridiculous.
Speaking of high price, I was tripping when people were paying like 80 bucks just to play the SH2 remake a week early.

Syphon72: I heard it's standalone. The fact it's in Japan, where all silent hills are in the United States, means if connected, it's very loosely.

viperfdl: Good to know. And how about the older titles? Silent Hill 2 and 4 are also on gog.
Silent Hill 4 started life as a not-Silent Hill game and was sort of massaged into being one partway through development, and it shows. It has some very light links to Silent Hill 2 but if you haven't played 2 you won't be missing anything other than "oh, I recognize that name" a few times. I consider Silent Hill 4 good and scary, but the gameplay is a bit more tedious and frustrating than previous entries, so if it's your first time I'd recommend Silent Hill 2 first.

One of the few AAA releases, that really got me interested. And the most impressive addition to GOG catalogue at the Anniversary event.

Japanese setting is quite appealing, thanks for including the voice-over. :)

I don't like horror, so sadly this is not for me, but this seems like a really nice game to get on GOG regardless!

It seems Konami is really in good will with GOG.

CLEARLY Metal Gear Solid games are coming to GOG soon enough!

This is one HELL of a surprise to end on. Does this mean we're ginally going to get Castlevania Anniversary Collection? Maybe MGS Remaster Collection? Could I dare hope for MGS4 or 5?

Nah, it's just your standard modern AAA BS pricing normies out of the market. It'll go on sale in a few months, no doubt. Maybe even be a reasonable price on Black Friday. If you're anything like me, you have HUNDREDS of GoG games to hold you over until then.

petravonkant: As expected, GOG forum continues to be the most penny-pinching community on the internet. Even Clair Obscur, which released at a relatively budget price, caught a few "nah, I'll wait for a sale" comments.

I know it's been discussed to death, but GOG really needs to restrict reviews to people who've actually bought the game. It's far too easy for people to review bomb games on here without buying them.

A perceived high price is not a reason to give a game a one-star review. It IS a great way to make a major Japanese publisher re-consider releasing games here at all, though, when anyone with no interest in the game can trash it the second it arrives.
This reminds me some of those spam/ad reviews made by google translate. I wonder why nobody made any attempt to scrap the idea of non-owner reviews. Most of the time the verified owner ratings are clearly higher, which should tell everything you need to know.

Hoping though it also hopefully means at least the first castlvania collection if not more of them
Though I fully understand people's issues with the price I hope this sells well enough to show publishers that DRM-Free can generate profit and we can start getting more closer to, or even Day one, releases on GOG.

At the very least to get more titles from Konami like the Castlevania series, TMNT series, Gradius, More Metal Gear and so on.
