People are reporting Victor Van game and Witcher games - how?
Huh. Just checked in my library and there was a key there, but it was expired. I've no idea what it was for, though.

novemberist: This is what you get, when you purchase PoE: Definitive Edition without having owned PoE before

amund: Based on this if you have Champion edition + White March season pass the following is not included:
Collector's Book
Cookbook
Guide
Concept Art
Novella

Might be different for other editions but nothing that really make a big difference for me any way. Pillars of Eternity isn't the only game that has a messed up upgrade system. I have two copies of Witcher 3 on my account.
I came to the same conclusion. While it makes Obsidian come off as inept and callous toward their customers, and the cookbook (assuming it's for in-game crafting) and guide would be a nice addition for those who already own the Champion Edition and all DLCs, the end result doesn't warrant melodrama. I'm sure this snafu will cost them a lot more than it costs us. Good luck to them the next time they try their hand at crowdfunding. :)
People still surprised of the obvious.

Shelling money for kickstarters...
... Just wait the complete edition.
The wait again for huge discount.

Actually, I think the cookbook is a... cookbook. Not a crafting guide.

As for peoples' rage at Obsidian, I asked them a long time back (on their forums) about getting the upgrade options on GOG and they said it was out of their hands as to if it would/could be done: it was up to Paradox to give the green light for it, they being the publisher and all. I don't have any specific information other than that, but I would imagine that Obsidian can't just unilaterally decide to offer content without the publisher's consent, as it's likely a breach of contract to do so. So the rage should be directed at Paradox. IMO.

The cookbook is, in fact, a cookbook. That's one extra I do have. If you want to make sweet pies or meatloaf, this is your perk right here.

If you're looking at the game in your library through the website, under the name of the game, there's a "TRY GOG GALAXY" button and next to that is the MORE drop-down box. Among the choices like ASSIGN TAGS AND CHANGLOG, there's also a SERIAL KEYS selection (at least, there's one for me). Hope this helps.
There is a code for Tyranny too . The codes are for paradox plaza forum icons.
Great for anyone that didn't buy it... Or didn't care enough (I prefer replaying IWD). But this is like a reaaaally big "fuck you" to everyone who actually supported this game. What the hell? This is the same bullshit AAA companies do with the GOTY editions of games, except those usually contain multiplayer focused extras and not extra content for the single player.

You and me both. My pre-order edition makes me the red-headed step-child of PoE owners. Everytime the game goes on sale, I have to double check my library to make sure I actually own the game, because it never looks like it.
I payed a lot for royal ed. Wish I could get the full game myself \:
high rated
On Steam if you own POE+ 2 DLC you are updated to the definitive edition for free.

Can we have Definitive for free on GOG too?

WTF Paradox?
Why do you hate us so much?
DRM-Free killed your dog or what?

So... Royal edition was always pretty expensive. Then they increased its price to a ludicrous level. Then they took it back to what it was after massive backlash.

Now they release a definitive version half the price of what Royal was (not to mention expansions) and... Surprise surprise, all who already had Hero or Champion still don't get all the goods. Even though most of us payed more than what Definitive costs right now.

This is very bad to anyone here who already owns any version of Pillars that isn't Royal.
