Pillars of Eternity: Definitive Edition is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 25% launch discount until November 19, 11PM UTC.
The acclaimed isometric RPG now finally in a complete package that includes every bit of available content: Pillars of Eternity - Royal Edition, White March Part I & II, plus the Deadfire Pack. Dive into the sprawling, fascinating, and reactive world of Eora and discover how Obsidian turned a nostalgia-fueled project into this award-winning modern classic.

Those who don't want to fully commit can instead get the PoE - Hero Edition, White March Part I, White March Part II, or White March Expansion Pass for 40% off each until November 19, 11PM UTC.

NOTE: The new Deadfire Pack DLC is included in Definitive Edition of the game, and is free for owners of all others Pillars of Eternity editions
Also, the Royal Edition and Champion Edition of the game are no longer available for sale but will remain in people's libraries, as normal.

all I want is a notification of when PoE updates

(this made me go look to see if I have the most current version, I do not...ohgeez)

I think there are better and cheaper CRPGs in the Gog catalog than PoE .

mchack: ok, I get it. You are warning me to not under any circumstances buy PoE 2 on release. There will be a definitive edition some day and there will NOT be an upgrade path. Thanks for letting me know, to not support your new game.
Paradox has nothing to do with the second game, FYI.

novemberist: Problem is that I apparently can't purchase Definitive Edition unless I own Deadfire Pack, kind of a catch-22. Or just some technical issue on GOG's side...
Novemberist, and anyone else having trouble purchasing because of a greyed out purchase button, here's the workaround that worked for me. I just checked, and immediately unchecked, the "Gift This Order" box, and the button became usable. Don't know why it worked, but something about it got the system unstuck.
Way to spit in the face of people who bought the game earlier without the possibility to upgrade.

Concerning your next rpg - well I will look for it in about 2-3 years.

It's like US election campaigns!!!
But yeah no PoE 2 for me either.
Paradox and Obsidian can Fahr zur Hölle!
As I said when this was announced - way to shit on those who supported you buying in for the expensive editions with extra content.

I'd be ok with this if it were all game content (base / ingame dlc / expansions) but to include all the other extras is a slap in the face and a dick move...

and no upgrade path... not sure if I already mentioned that... >_>

As I already own the game, I looked at buying just the two expansions. I see The White March parts I and II for £5.99 each, £11.98 in total. Or I can buy the expansion pass, which contains both together for £11.99... what is the extra 1p for? I though it was supposed to be cheaper to buy them together?
EDIT double post...

I can believe how some people can be stupid, greedy and whiney.... if you have problem purchasing the game, just wait a bit until GOG (yes, gog) fix that.... It's gog's problem.
high rated
Okay, let me get this straight: This is bullshit.

GOG customers were never able to upgrade from a lesser edition (unlike Steam customers) despite a promise that it was being worked on. Well all know how that worked out:

If you bought the Hero Edition or Champion Edition, and you like the goodies included in the larger editions, all hope is not lost. We're currently working on making edition upgrades available for Pillars of Eternity . Stay tuned for future updates!

Well, no such thing here!

Now we get a full edition including all the extras from the highest tier version and there is again not even a way to upgrade to said edition without having to pay the full price? Sorry, but this feels like a kick to the groin. Really disappointed here! :(

Bigs: Lucky you? I had a lesser game...

Or those keys aren't meant to be used here but more likely paradox's forums to register ownership of the title?

I dunno

amrit9037: I used that key on gog.com/redeem and it showed me TW3.
I can't say if it's an error as I already have TW3.
My serial key would give me "Lords of Xulima - Deluxe Edition" that I already own >_>

Fortuk: I dunno, it's a GOTY edition released 2 years after launch. A game's price dropping like that eventually isn't very sudden, especially since it's meant to get people warmed up for the sequel which allows for the use of your savefile. That's why you always need to ask yourself whether the price is worth what your getting at the time that you're buying it. The lack of an upgrade path for the extras is annoying though.
My thoughts exactly, as i wrote in a previous thread. As in every GOTY edition, it's good news for those who had the patience to wait while everyone else were already playing. Yet, in this case it's mostly bad news for the folks who waited for the upgrade paths that never arrived here. *shrugs* Anyway, can't complain on the pricing, although i expected a better discount on the expansions to be honest; looking at the price point difference between the Hero Edition+Expansions and the Definitive Edition, it makes me wanna wait a bit longer before aquiring the Expansion Pass. There's a big sale incoming anyway...
Great! Wishlisted for now because I have still a big backlog.
