2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

takezodunmer2005: Takes forever for the install to come up, and the disappearing icons are irritrating particulary when offline! Galaxy needs a dedicated offline mode to switch off the icon's relience on it's internet connection/browser's online cache, as it seems the icons are tyed too much to them...

BTW, I have close to 600 games installed via galaxy!
Both issues are important for us, I hope you'll get fixes for them soon! :)
Hey everyone,

we just released GOG Galaxy 1.2.29. This release brings the features from the BETA release to all users, plus some additional changes - including a new animation on desktop notifications, some fixes for the images in the sidebar, an overlay-caused hang on game exit on some platforms, and a few other things.

The changelog in the client app should update in a few minutes (or, at worst, hours), due to small technical difficulties around that :)

Taro94: I have a question regarding cloud saves - I'd want to start using it, but from what I can see, if I delete a save file (via the game itself), it's NOT deleted from the cloud (i.e. when I download the zipped saves via the backup and bonuses screen I can see it still contains the deleted saves).

Now, is this intended behavior? How can I really delete a save file if that's the case?
Files are fully deleted on the backend after a 24 hour period.

omega64: Release an update to fix that. :P
Should be fixed at this point... :)

MadDemon64: When I look at the changelog, it includes two copies of 1.2.29, both of which were updated on November 4th according to the changelog.
Oh dear, how did I miss that :( Thanks for pointing this out, I'll try to clean up! :)

phqueue: Good evening,

any idea what's causing the behaviour illustrated on the following screenshots?

Store page:
i.imgur.com/Dy9FB2U.jpg

Library:
i.imgur.com/beRP3z2.jpg
i.imgur.com/lXKUWYY.jpg

Client should be up to date (as indicated by "1.2.29") and logging in works no problemo.

Already tried a couple things like reinstalling or running the client as administrator, reinstalling and running the setup.exe as administrator, but no cigar.

Running Win7 x64, by the way.

Edit: Everything community-related like the forums or the wishlists is displayed correctly.
Please check everything that might be blocking calls to e.g. https://www4-static4.gog.com/ or other *.gog.com https addresses.
Firewall, antivirus - try to disable it and check who's the culprit. :)

Lucian_Galca: Still doing this in the new version guys:

Did you fill up a mantis report about it?
avatar
phqueue: Tried both temporarily deactivating the antivirus service and bypassing the firewall (via "exposed host", the firewall itself cannot be deactivated) but to no avail. The store and the library are still messed up formatting-wise.

Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance.
Of course it's not the only host you need to allow for it to work. Something is blocking downloading CSS and JS from one of the static servers while allowing other gog.com calls. Maybe you can whitelist everything *.gog.com ?

Hi,

I just wanted to say we're looking into the update issues right now. We're not exactly sure what's going on, but we're investigating multiple avenues. We'll get back to you soon :)

Lucian_Galca: I've reported and updated the ticket a few times already here: http://mantis.gog.com/view.php?id=5262

I'll create a new ticket.
If it's there and acknowledged, please don't create a new ticket. :) Thank you for creating the original one.

eschenbacher: After the last windows 10 update (v.1709), Galaxy managed to auto start at system boot. Before this update, it doesn't even start in the background because I edited msconfig.

I really hate such penetrating, importunate, invasive, obstrusive or what ever is the correct english term, pieces of software. I uninstalled Galaxy, even therefore I cannot play gwent anymore.

GOG looks like a really customer friendly company, but Galaxy destroys this impression effectively.
Restarting applications which were running before shutdown is a new feature in Windows 10 Fall Creator's Update (v. 1709), as explained in this thread by a Support Engineer from Microsoft.

We'll be looking into this issue soon.

Until then closing the application before rebooting or shutting the computer down should help, which I know is not ideal.
Hi everyone,

we deployed a fix to our back-end services for the self-update problems. Is the issue gone for you, or does it still appear?

AlexRavenheart: I tried using the Add command line arguments option to specify -32bit -dxlevel 90 for Star Wolves and it does not apply those arguments. Applying the arguments directly to the shortcut created after installing the game works but launching the game from Galaxy does not apply them.

Without those arguments the game will not run properly as no ships will fire their main guns. Running on Win 7 x64.
Is this a Galaxy bug or am I missing something?
Please report an issue on http://mantis.gog.com/ with your logs attached. :)

Johny.: We have support for AUD. Did you choose AUD as your currency in account and locale settings?

Do you experience any problems with Galaxy Client on that matter? If so, could you try to change the currency in your profile settings from in-galaxy? (your avatar dropdown -> account management) Change it back and forth if it's already set.

Please send back your feedback when you're done. :) If we see any issue there regarding Galaxy Client, we'll add this as a bug to fix.
avatar
Wraithcat: While I can change the Country, the Account Settings won't let me change to any other currency and is locked in US dollars.
I have one more question and I'll submit a bug for you. Does currency changing take effect for you in your browser, via this page?
avatar
korell: Do you have the latest Windows 10 update installed, the Fall Creators update? Only if you do then it is like this that is causing the program to start up automatically. This Win 10 update restores all programs that were open at the time the computer was shut down. It is annoying, but others have experienced this too and GOG confirmed that it was the latest Win 10 update doing it. The resolution is to close down all applications before you shutdown Windows.
avatar
Azhrarn: I am indeed on the Fall Creators Update, but it's only auto-launching GOG, not Steam, which is usually also open when I'm quiting Windows for the day. either way, I'll try quitting everything before turning my PC off for the day.

Thank you.
It should be fixed in the next release :)

POLE7645: Small issue that I think is on the GOG Galaxy side.

Cuphead has been updated to include GOG Galaxy Achievements, but they don't appear on Galaxy. I assume that's because I already have it installed with a game going on? but I was wondering if they actually worked? Or if I absolutely have to uninstall and re-install Cuphead? Or if it's a Galaxy issue that needs to be fixed?
Thanks for reporting this issue! It should be fixed now, no reinstall required :)
Hey,

we have released 1.2.30 to Beta channel.

We will be testing a new configuration for cloudstorage, so if you encounter any unusual behavior while syncing Cloud Saves, any information will be appreciated.
