2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

Johny.: Definitely send your logs to mantis bug tracking system, instructions are here:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/gog_galaxy_official_discussion_thread/post1

Large library is known to be slowing down especially opening the Galaxy Client, but it might be that or something different.
We have a room for improvements there, so it would be nice to look at your logs.
Will be sending my logs in asap, it doesn't matter if I'm downloading, updating or even offline as a simple game loader, the results are the same, it always freezes up after 10-20 minutes!...

Franck19520: Same here!!! got 900 games and same problem : GoG Galaxy 1.2.6 froze after a while... constantly need to restart it... after a few tests i think this is an issue with games auto-updating... have you tried to uninstall a game an just after to reinstall it? For me if i do that, Galaxy stuck on getting file list...for a long time before updating...(neither if I restart Galaxy, update start immediatly...) I think that the same problem when it freeze... Always before freezing i can read in the log something like: "[Information][ (0)]: The scheduling for the periodic product check was skipped as the installer is busy." And when this message appear, I can't access galaxy anymore...
By the way it's just a theory and after googling this problem the last few days, no-one exept me (and possibly you...) seems to have this problem... Possibly the large library of games cause the issue...
I f you find a solution, Please share... if the issues persists i'll go to reports the bugs on the official service support... but if effectively we are only a few with large library installed, seems we need to wait before the problem become a priority bug if you want my advice...
I will have to resort to installing the 1.1 version alongside the 1.26 version, I will use the 1.1 version as an offline game loader while the updated version as the online installer/updater...That means blocking it from my firewall so I hope it works as I don't want to have to block it via the host file!

I seem to be getting a weird bug in Galaxy, the game Kenshi is telling me there is an update from 0.95.29 -> 0.95.33 but when I go to update it, it finishes and Galaxy says it's installed... but the blue dot remains and Galaxy tells me I'm still on 0.95.29.

Any ideas?

Did you install this game via standalone installer, or via Galaxy Client?
Could you describe the "when I go to update it" step?

I would recommend contacting support, so they can check the game itself.

yongra: GOG Galaxy on my PC just close after telling me connection to the GOG Service was lost. Still having server outage? It was doing that when I first updated to 1.2.6 but started to work about a day later and stayed up for few days and now the disconnect is happening again.
Hi yongra,

The message about "Connection to GOG Galaxy Communication Service was lost" is unrelated to our server outage. It is a problem on your machine, most commonly due to using Remote Desktop - which GOG Galaxy does not currently support.. If you are experiencing this without using Remote Desktop, then please report an issue at http://mantis.gog.com

EDIT: I decided to wipe my PC due to some othe issues I was having with the the creators update on Windows 10. so let's see if that fixes Galaxy as well. Orginal message follows.

EDIT2: So far so good, everything seems to be working so much better right now out side of a small bug that happen when I first installed Galaxy, but a restart fixed it. :)

---

Okay somebody really needs to look into this looooooong abort time. I told Galaxy to abort a 3GB update and I have been waiting probably close to 10 min now for it to abort the update and delete it. *Takes a hammer to Galaxy*

This is a bad as the 15-20 min wait for the install window to load... I'm wondering if I just need to re-install Galaxy completely as I haven't really seen anyone else mention these two issues. :(

Three days ago my support ticket was assigned to a guy (or girl) named Raff. Still not a single reply. I really want to continue the game but I also want to use the achievements in this case.

Edit: Still nothing - not even a note or a single reply. Why bother assigning a case to somebody at all if this person does not seem to do anything with it? Maybe I should just refund the game because achievements were part of the deal! Basicalyy I paid the complete money but did not get the complete product.

Usually I'm against Friday patches, but considering this was a messed up week for GOG (from what I hear due to Polish holidays) I still kinda hope we see the 1.2.7 update today. :D

EDIT: Not this week I guess, hopefully early next week then.

I just wanted to check with anyone else,

Does the in-game overlay work yet? I haven't been able to use it, even after re-installing Galaxy.

Cheers

Yes it works with supported games. If you have certain software in the background like RivaTuner in may interfere with it. If a game has overlay support there will be a checkbox by going to the game -> MORE -> settings.

Yea, so games like The Witcher 3 and Divinity

Oh RivaTuner might be doing it then...

Is there a way for it to work with Riva? I use it for my computer monitoring and it's linked with the MSI Afterburner overclocking, so I don't really want to turn it off.

Not that I know of. It's known to not work currently and I'm not sure anyone has come up with a solution yet...

Here is an idea, if you are installing a game and you go to install another game while the original game is still downloading, Galaxy should automatically pause the download until the install window has finished loading for the next game your adding to the queue. Then automatically resume when user hits continue. Why?

Because if the bandwidth limit isn't set Galaxy uses all available bandwidth and this makes the install window take a lot longer to load and probably also results in the server issue messages during install I sometimes get when a game is already downloading.

I've started manually doing this myself, though sometimes I forget. But by doing so I have noticed a decrease in loading time for the install window, and no server error messages... would be nice if Galaxy just automatically did this.

In addition to this: If you have used a backup installer to install the game and turned off auto updates in Galaxy you might have to "update" to the latest version (in Galaxy) of the game if you want to use Galaxy overlay. As I pointed out several times: When using backup installers Galaxy atm does not recognize that even if the game is up to date the Galaxy part of the game is not. If those mentioned checkboxes are missing try this.

I had to break down and use steam's launcher for my gog library, was going to use my folders, but I have far too many games for this to be a preferred method...I miss using galaxy! I'll just have to wait for Galaxy 1.3-2.0...

If you are talking about doing that because of the freezing issue, Liosan said they will release a fix ASAP... now that they have dump file to better tell what the issue is. It may even be fixed this coming week , however it's always possible your issue is slightly different than Franck19520's freezing issue.
