Firefox31780: Mass Effect: Andromeda. Now there's a game that isn't even worth pirating.
Yeah.
I saw some high res screenshots other day & they looked okay, but everything else I've heard about the game.
Nope! ;)
Well, that & EA will never see another penny from me after what they did to DarkSpore :(

Fifa18 also cracked in under one day.
Looks like denuvo is on its last legs.

I would imagine that now that it's known how to do it, the cracks will come flying.

What I find funny is that at least 2 groups have done "repacks" of the game....

And both repacks are 10+ gigs larger that the original with nothing added to the game. :)

edit: Not that I'm going to pirate the game or anything. Not a big fan of sports games unless it;s more of the management side.

It's getting to a point, I'm only going to buy GOGs. Steam + Denuvo = unacceptable. That is 2 layers of DRM and Denuvo uses up your system's resources. Not everyone has the most powerful PC gaming hardware to make Denuvo's negative affect on your gaming experience, irrelevant, by the way.

Apparently Shadow of war was said to not be going to use denuvo & that there's no mention of it on steam (oddly, I can't even see the game on steam).

Welp, looks like WB wasted their (or the players) money ;p

Denuvo seems to be useless as Middle-earth: Shadow of War has also been cracked in just a day
Denuvo-powered South Park Fractured But Whole has been cracked in just a day.

Will be tweeting to bethesda (shudder) to ask if they still insist on using this joke on Wolfenstein.
Yeah, seems Denuvo's done for.

Hopefully not, they dropped it from Evil Within 2 right before launch.
I have dreams of Denuvo disappearing for good.

And then Syberia 3 can come to GOG, along with Syberia 1 & 2. I want to play that game so much!

*sigh*

Ridiculous isn't it. Syberia3 was cracked ages ago, still plagued.
Similarly Mad Max was cracked ages ago, but not only doe it still have that virus denuvo with it, the devs (or at least steam forums mods) block any mentions of it, blocking said users & even banning some at the mere mention of "will you remove denuvo now?"

Good news for Wolfenstein fans.
It isn't being plagued with denuvo \o/

fishbaits: Anyhoe, another thing about denuvo is that you can't mod the game.
Apparently, if you do mod the game & denuvo just happens to do its thing & goes "Oh look, something's dodgy" you face being banned from that game & possibly steam/uplay/whatever until (if ever...) support sort things out.
lol, what? You realize this is pure nonsense in more than a few ways, right?
Surprise surprise, denuvo is in the news again & it's for screwing things up as per usual.

Denuvo server issues prevented players from playing Batman: Arkham Knight, Mad Max & Shadow of War

It appears that some Denuvo server problems prevented PC gamers from playing their legitimate copies of Batman: Arkham Knight and Mad Max. According to reports, both of these games were not launching at all in the past couple days. And while both of them seem to be working right now, a lot of reports suggest that these issues were caused by the Denuvo anti-tamper tech.

Due to some Denuvo server issues, PC gamers were receiving an error message while attempting to launch Batman: Arkham Knight and Mad Max. As such, gamers had to click on a Retry button multiple times in order to make both of them work. According to reports, the Denuvo authentication servers were down for almost all Warner Bros’ games and PC gamers were forced to somehow bypass these issues. This also affected Middle-earth: Shadow of War as players were unable to download its latest patch or play the game itself.

Now, this is one of the main reasons PC gamers are against the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. Since a respectable number of games are using it, we don’t know what will happen when the Denuvo servers go down. Or I guess we now have a clue; players will be unable to play their legitimately purchased games.

What publishers and developers can do, in order to bypass such a thing, is remove the Denuvo anti-tamper tech from their games (once these games have been cracked). However, we’ve seen numerous publishers refusing to remove Denuvo. As such, and if and when the Denuvo servers get shut down, PC gamers will have to rely on cracks in order to play the games they have purchased.

Thankfully, we’ve seen some publishers moving away from Denuvo. Bethesda is one of those publishers who are no longer using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech in its games. However things may change as the latest version of Denuvo has not been cracked yet.
