65 assorted games 70% off, no risk of getting trampled!

The time has come to unveil our [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/black_friday_weekend_promo_291113]special Black Friday promo First, let's put things in some perspective, though. There are a few great things about the Black Friday retail festivities, and one really, really bad one, that kind of spoils all the joy for many people. On one hand, you can go out there and grab consumer electronics, games, movies, and other tech-goods with insanely attractive discounts, finally getting those things you wanted, but without the guilt of paying too much for stuff that's not essential to your wellbeing. On the other, you risk getting seriously battered-up in the process, as hundreds, or thousands of other people will be trying to do just the same and they won't take competition kindly. Each year people get injured in their pursuit of great deals. Badly injured! Killed even! Even if the media blow the thing way out of proportion, the risk still exists.

Why take any risks? You're entitled to great Black Friday deals without exposing yourself to raging crowds. Take the digital route, this year! We've prepared a huge selection of titles for you, and applied a huge discount to all of them. Games that usually cost $9.99 are now available for only $2.99. Titles with $5.99 regular price tag are up for grabs for only $1.79. That's 70% off discount on a selection of 65 fantastic games. You can greatly expand your DRM-free collection and emerge victorious from this whole Black Friday ordeal, without staring into Death's cold eyes even once. You don't even need to rush in--we give you plenty of time to plan your purchase, so you don't end up with something you bought because it was dirt cheap, not because you really wanted it. That's Black Friday GOG.com customer love style! The offer lasts until Tuesday, December 3, at 10:59AM GMT.

OCD and because they are on sale, do I need a reason to buy games I'm not interested in?
Not to mention I do not know of any of these games before the sale/promo.
I do plan on playing them, eventually. Perhaps I should stop purchasing games till I finish my 300+ game backlog.

edit: sniped and added middle line.

There usually is 50% off entire catalogue on GOG xmas sale + daily deals with higher percentage.

ChrisSD: This sale maybe lacking in big names but there are still some gems:

Slipstream 5000 (a great flying racing & shooting game. You go up and down as well as left and right :)
Raptor: Call of the Shadows (one of the best scrolling shooters ever)
Independence War 2 (or 1 if you prefer)
Rollercoaster Typcoon 2 (1 & 3 also but I think 2 was the best, although 1 is a close second)
Worms united (the first and still good today)
Capitalism plus (I must try 2 some day)
I forgot Commandos 2+3. They're both really great strategy games.
The promo says there's 65 games on sale. I only count 20. Am I missing something?
Any recommendations on what to get? I think I might get rollercoaster tycoon 3...

I feel kind of silly for stating the obvious, but there will always be lots of games you did not know of and that are on sale, and you will never be able to play them all in your life. You'll probably never finish the 300+ games in your backlog either. If you're really so undiscriminating about your choice of games that you think you would enjoy all of them, chances are you would also enjoy a random game from your backlog. So unless there's any game in this sale that you absolutely want to play NOW, why not wait for the next sale? Or the one after it? On its own, ~$2 per game is amazing offer, but spending more than $100 on something you don't really need and you don't even knew you wanted yesterday is not such a good bargain, especially considering there will be another sale next week, and the week after it, and so on. ;)

I mean, if you can afford it and plan on buying the whole catalogue, go ahead and support GOG, but don't do it just because of OCD. I'm pretty sure there will be another sale like this in the future.

Nice, GOG! I got five games: Realms of the Haunting, Catacombs pack, Alone in the Dark 1+2+3, Independence War, and Raiden Legacy. Sweeet!

Well, there's a plethora of choices. It really depernds on the types of games you enjoy. RPG's, Strategy, Space Sims, adventure, and everything in between. Take your pick. Read some of the games descriptions, and if something tickles your fancy, check out a couple of YouTube reviews/LP's. That's what I often do. At 70% off, you really can't go wrong pickin' & buying one or two, or even more that interest you! XD
It would be nice if that list was sorted alphabetically. Even after a third pass I still happen to find games that I didn't see before. It isn't that easy on the eyes if everything is randomly jumbled.

Another good sale to pick up some games for cheap for my SoA giveaways. :) As for myself:

Quite likely purchases:
Catacombs Pack - been eyeing that one for a while now
Realms of the Haunting

Maybes (which more often than not turn into no-buys):
AoitD: The New Nightmare
Dangerous Dave Pack
Ultimate Body Blows
World Rally Fever

There's 65 on the promo screen. If you're looking at the front page "on sale" tab, it never has more than the first 20. Is that it?
In for Guilty Gear X2 and Alien Breed + Tower Assault. Thanks GOG!

Oops. I looked at the wrong thing. I just looked at the "games on sale" and it showed 20.
I've never even noticed the on sale tab before.

The only drawback is that Broken Sword 5, Fist Puncher and Mr. Bree+ are also included in this list. But it's not a big deal I think
