65 assorted games 70% off, no risk of getting trampled!

The time has come to unveil our [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/black_friday_weekend_promo_291113]special Black Friday promo First, let's put things in some perspective, though. There are a few great things about the Black Friday retail festivities, and one really, really bad one, that kind of spoils all the joy for many people. On one hand, you can go out there and grab consumer electronics, games, movies, and other tech-goods with insanely attractive discounts, finally getting those things you wanted, but without the guilt of paying too much for stuff that's not essential to your wellbeing. On the other, you risk getting seriously battered-up in the process, as hundreds, or thousands of other people will be trying to do just the same and they won't take competition kindly. Each year people get injured in their pursuit of great deals. Badly injured! Killed even! Even if the media blow the thing way out of proportion, the risk still exists.

Why take any risks? You're entitled to great Black Friday deals without exposing yourself to raging crowds. Take the digital route, this year! We've prepared a huge selection of titles for you, and applied a huge discount to all of them. Games that usually cost $9.99 are now available for only $2.99. Titles with $5.99 regular price tag are up for grabs for only $1.79. That's 70% off discount on a selection of 65 fantastic games. You can greatly expand your DRM-free collection and emerge victorious from this whole Black Friday ordeal, without staring into Death's cold eyes even once. You don't even need to rush in--we give you plenty of time to plan your purchase, so you don't end up with something you bought because it was dirt cheap, not because you really wanted it. That's Black Friday GOG.com customer love style! The offer lasts until Tuesday, December 3, at 10:59AM GMT.

Ghorpm: If you have any questions feel free to ask. I really know a lot about this game.
No more questions, your answer was more than satisfactory. Also, your posts about Tzar could be used to describe Warcraft2 word by word.

Tzar and four other games have just entered my backlog now. The downside is the sensation that my wallet hates me even more than it did at the end of the Fall's insomnia promo. I guess I'll have to fire up Commandos 2 to drown that feeling. :)

Thank you to all of you guys/girls for your help.
This sale is not that bad, picked up a couple of games on my wishlist and if any one would like a copy of Celtic kings rage of war just pm me.
Cheers,
How does Indi War #1 compare with #2? #2 is one of my favorites of all time though I have to admit it can be very draining; simple it's not. :D
Anyone who thinks this is a dud sale is WEIRD. This is a heap of classic games at tiny prices. What's not to love, unless you already own them (and the latter doesn't make it a bad sale).

tinyE: Get I-War. At this price, you can't go wrong. It's worth it for the intro video alone (and the remainder of the game is laden with high-quality cinematics as well).

It's a different to I-War 2 in a number of ways, but primarily in that the game is a story-driven sequence of fixed missions (with some branching), rather than the more open-world-y structure of the sequel. It has more of a 'big ship' feel, due to explicitly populating the bridge with crew members for each station (which isn't a huge difference in terms of gameplay, but still affects the feel of the game, and provides a cast of constant voices as well).

Graphically, I-War 2 is leaps and bounds ahead of its predecessor, but that shouldn't come as a surprise, given that the second game was used as a showcase for the GeForce 3.

It's one of the most rewarding games I've played, and one of the few sci-fi "sims" that actually warrants that label, but it also features one or two of the hardest missions I've ever played in any game, which could cause some slight reservations. The expansion (included) resolved this issue with checkpoints for the new missions, but sadly they couldn't be retro-fitted to the original campaign. IIRC there are ways to skip missions if you find you're pulling out chunks of hair, though.

If I-War 2 is an all-time favourite, I honestly can't imagine you regretting purchasing the original at this price. Hopefully you'll just wonder why on earth it took you so long to pick it up!

You can't go wrong with Realms of the Haunting.
I bought Tzar now. Good game for a good price:)General this black friday promotions its ok but i would like more rpg games:)
Just bought:

- Gobliiins pack (fond memories of playing the original on my 386 twenty years ago, and I never got my hands on the sequels)

- Simon the Sorcerer 1 + 2 (never played these games, but as a long-time fan of LucasArts graphic adventures and of humor in video games, these look like something I'd enjoy)

Also considering buying the Tex Murphy games, despite my dislike of FMV in adventure games... these games had good reviews in the gaming mags I read back in the day, and a long-time friend of mine holds this series in high esteem.
Tzar is awesome and I'm glad that it finally runs again on a computer! The perfect interlude until I figure out the controller for WC3.

grviper: Are there any reasons NOT to buy Riddick?
No, there's not a reason not to get unless your PC can't run it. It's a very good game IMO.
