65 assorted games 70% off, no risk of getting trampled!

The time has come to unveil our [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/black_friday_weekend_promo_291113]special Black Friday promo First, let's put things in some perspective, though. There are a few great things about the Black Friday retail festivities, and one really, really bad one, that kind of spoils all the joy for many people. On one hand, you can go out there and grab consumer electronics, games, movies, and other tech-goods with insanely attractive discounts, finally getting those things you wanted, but without the guilt of paying too much for stuff that's not essential to your wellbeing. On the other, you risk getting seriously battered-up in the process, as hundreds, or thousands of other people will be trying to do just the same and they won't take competition kindly. Each year people get injured in their pursuit of great deals. Badly injured! Killed even! Even if the media blow the thing way out of proportion, the risk still exists.

Why take any risks? You're entitled to great Black Friday deals without exposing yourself to raging crowds. Take the digital route, this year! We've prepared a huge selection of titles for you, and applied a huge discount to all of them. Games that usually cost $9.99 are now available for only $2.99. Titles with $5.99 regular price tag are up for grabs for only $1.79. That's 70% off discount on a selection of 65 fantastic games. You can greatly expand your DRM-free collection and emerge victorious from this whole Black Friday ordeal, without staring into Death's cold eyes even once. You don't even need to rush in--we give you plenty of time to plan your purchase, so you don't end up with something you bought because it was dirt cheap, not because you really wanted it. That's Black Friday GOG.com customer love style! The offer lasts until Tuesday, December 3, at 10:59AM GMT.
Don't know if this has been mentioned, but my main GOG page only lists 20 games under the 'on sale' tab, rather than the 60+ featured in this promo.

edit: Looks like this has been covered already, thanks lugum.

AFAIK, it is the friday after Thanksgiving. It marks the beginning of the holiday season (aka Christmas season), characterised by special deals and offerings in shops.

keeveek: Yeah, what about Creatures? I always thought it's a computer version of tamagotchi
avatar
tinyE: I asked about it an hour or so ago and nothing. People must be afraid of it. :D
The ideas behind Creatures seem very interesting but I did not like it. I lent it to my niece who loves little animals and she did not like it either.

I played it when it was new so I don't remember much about it but I think it's about in the same niche as The Sims except with smart pets instead of dump peoples and there is no construction.

wrathsinger: Oh. Well, then there are NwN2 wikis with some insane builds like an "18 attacks per round untouchable-level AC melee dual-wielder".
Sadly, I found no builder for NwN1. Now, THAT would take me hours to play with. ;-)
Care to share your favourite single-player build(s) with me? There are many types I haven't played with yet...
These are incredible deals on an awful lot of games - I mean $1.75? And I don't really want to buy or play any of them ... Is something wrong with me? Is it just due to the inflation or the start of a Great Depression? :/
This sale maybe lacking in big names but there are still some gems:

Slipstream 5000 (a great flying racing & shooting game. You go up and down as well as left and right :)
Raptor: Call of the Shadows (one of the best scrolling shooters ever)
Independence War 2 (or 1 if you prefer)
Rollercoaster Typcoon 2 (1 & 3 also but I think 2 was the best, although 1 is a close second)
Worms united (the first and still good today)
Capitalism plus (I must try 2 some day)

Wow, actually found two games to buy from my wishlist; Celtic Kings and Chaos Overlords. Everything else I want, I have. Even though I still have a good sized backlog, can't pass these 2 up at 70% off. Thanks for the nice Black Friday promo GOG...you Evil Santas ;)

Ghorpm: Tzar for 1.79$ Seriously guys, it's a good time to pick it, it's really very interesting game and for that price you don't risk much

Ghorpm: Do you like Elvira games? If yes then I see no reason why you shouldn't enjoy Waxworks. It's basically the same game. Slightly enhanced graphic, slightly modified UI but everything else is the same: horror atmosphere, mixture of adventure and cRGP, the same fighting mechanics, a lot of gore, 100 ways to die...
Thanks! That sounds good, I do like Elvira games.

Ghorpm: Oh, wait! Now I can see one reason! If you like Elvira games because of boobs then you may not like Waxworks ;) AFAIR there is a girl with a pretty big cleavage in Waxworks but she is also heartless. And it's not a figure of speech ;)
I only played Elvira for the well-written dialogues and robust fighting mechanics, of course. ;)
Tzar, Tzar, TZAAAAAAAAAAAR!!

Thanx GOG!
