What's cool about it:

  • Worms United includes Worms and Worms: Reinforcements
  • Fun and addictive hotseat multiplayer for up to four players
  • Impressive arsenal of weapons featuring such classics as the banana bomb, explosive sheep, and holy hand grenade.

An absolutely engrossing game that was responsible for many sleepless nights back in the 90s is back to bring more sleepless nights now! What's there not to like about teams of 10 worms unleashing hell against each other on a fully destructible map using a wide arsenal of fun and imaginative weapons? The answer is "nothing". Especially if you are using the multiplayer option. The look on your buddy's face when your well-placed holy grenade sends a bunch of his best worm-soldiers to a better place is just priceless.

Creative use of weapons is the key to victory. You can shoot the bazooka directly at your opponent and take some of his health. If you are clever and skilled, though, then maybe there is a way to use the wind and gravity to curve the trajectory of the projectile so that it lands right behind his cover and throws him from the cliff, causing an instant death? The feeling of satisfaction after such a brilliantly executed stunt is what makes this game great. So if you are looking for a game to play with your friends then you really can’t go wrong with Worms United.

Minimum system requirements: Windows XP / Windows Vista / Windows 7, 1.8 GHz Processor, 512MB RAM (1 GB recommended), 3D graphics card compatible with DirectX 7 (compatible with DirectX 9 recommended), 2GB HDD, Mouse, Keyboard.

The first but still my favourite one!

This game brings back so many memories. Sure, playing against the computer mostly sucks, but playing with friends is about the most fun you can have! Especially if you make your own maps and even create your own sound pack.
This is one of those games where good or bad luck can completely change the game but in exchange, you can get some big laughs as one badly aimed bazooka sendsread more your own worm flying through an entire mine field, causing it to knock several of your opponent's worms off the map or into the water, turning a badly aimed suicide shot in a win! Now tell me, how many games let you do that?
If you have a friend to play with, this can't be missed!

Classic game

I can't even begin to recall all the hours I played this game. With my brothers, it has been for years THE game we would play whilst seating on the same bench in front of the computer. The war would wage both on and off screen. Shotgun, ninja rope, Uzi, baseball bat, and even some other things we did not know at this time because we were young French guys playing an English game.
Allread more that I know is that I even prefer this one compared to the latter version (Armageddon, World Party for example). Don't judge me, I'm ruled by my memories.

Maybe from nostalgia, but still the best one

I first played Worms from a 3 1/2 floppy, it was the demo having snow and hell environment, very few options but I remember it so clearly as we had anyway so much fun playing it, randomly aiming the bazooka, or just shooting vertically to see if the wind would end up hitting a target... even a friendly worm
This was even better when I got the full game later, all these tiny voicesread more screaming "kami-kami !", the Mighty "Aaaalleluïa" Holy Grenade ; very simple but precise graphics (I pretty much prefer this "by-pixel" design than the more cartoon-ish sequels)...
Just bought it on gog again (so the CDs don't get anymore scratched than they already are !) you don't have to wait for a special to get this game !
