I proudly say that I'm part of the Re-Volt community. I play multiplayer games with other members of the same community, and chatting with them, playing with them, I haven't noticed that they are all "butthurt douchebags", as many of you think because of... I have no idea what. You don't know anyone of them, yet you (well.. many of you) claim that we are all stupid and elitist, and that the revolt community is something to avoid. All I can say, is that I enjoy being in this community, and I encourage everyone to join it.
About us being "elitist" and "not wanting anyone new to play our game" ...
Again... why are you thinking this? Ask any new multiplayer players ('cause we DO have new players, even if ReVolt is not available on GOG), if they got help from us, if they were welcome. Believe me there's no problem with the community's hospitality towards new players, and we are happy to see new "faces" among us day to day.
The modders have done a GREAT job with the game. Not only have they made it possible to play it on modern systems, but there are many new things, great ideas in the game. You can just search for ReVolt 1.2 changelog if you are interested.
Even if they don't have legal rights to it (what, admit it... none of us know, so it's pointless to argue about it), it's understandable that they are a bit pissed, that the years of work they made, was just to earn a little more profit for a company that barely can communicate with its customers, and who said no words, asked no questions from them.
The least I can say about WeGo, is that what they've done is unethical, and may be illegal too.
I would also point out, that the solution of this situation takes so long, because of WeGo, and not because the modders are so demandig, or not willing to cooperate.
