To bump this thread (normally I don't mention the games I play in this thread, but the games I've finished in this thread), I'll say that I'm in Level (or floor) 13 in the main dungeon of Diablo (there are 16 floors). I've also cleared the first dungeon (4 floors) of the expansion, and there's another dungeon there to go, of another 4 floors.
I play currently Shadow of the Tomb Raider and... holy shit...

SPOILERS:
There are moments where I'm asking myself, whether this is still a Tomb Raider game or... something different. There are moments when I expect that suddenly the main theme of Rambo starts to play. And in the scene that I just saw in which Lara rises out of the water with a flame wall behind her, the first beats of the Terminator II theme would fit perfectly.
And after she just slaughtered a small army all on her own, she has a nervous breakdown and starts crying.
WTF??? Am I supposed to take this serious?
Guys, what I take away from this is: Don't piss off women on PMS...

Dying Light: The Beast.

Loved the first and second games. Back in the day, bought ultimate versions, hoping to get future DLCs cheaper. Turns out, developers gifted The Beast to holders of those editions of previous games. Needless to say, was excited to find the game in my library.

Game runs smoothly and gameplay closely resembles that of Dying Light 1. A lot of fun with some extras powers and guns.
Currently I play Wall World.
Layers of Fear (2016). Had it sitting in my library for almost 10 years and figured I'd finally play it for spoopy season. Didn't realize Bloober Team made this but I see their potential. That said, unfortunately this game isn't tense or brings on the spoops, but the story is blows away all the horror games I've played this month. Jumpscares are a minimum, big relief on the ears

XCOM: Enemy Within

To be more specific, I'm playing the Long War mod. After just a few hours into the game, I think this mod really is the best way to play this game. Not saying the vanilla game is bad in itself, but for a roguelike/roguelite game like XCOM, I expect the game to be longer. The original game was hard, but quick. This mod not only retains and improves on that difficulty, but made the game longer as well.
Super Robot Wars 30 and Forgive me Father
Resident Evil HD REMASTER

To be clear, I've never played a Resident Evil game before. Not the older ones, nor the newer ones. So this remaster of the first game is actually also the first Resident Evil game I've ever played. With that out of the way, I had to train myself in getting better with the knife in the very early part of the game, as I didn't know that in the "Normal" mode, it can actually take up about 9 bullets just to knock down a zombie, and two bites to kill you (I'm playing as Jill). So I quit the game, look up on the internet for some tips on how to get better at using the knife as an alternative to using a pistol to preserve ammo, got back to the game, and basically replayed quite a number of times Jill's very first encounter with a zombie in the small room connected to a long corridor to practice what I've learned.
I'm in Chapter 10 of the first Kane and Lynch game. Interesting story, but more interesting are the dialogues between the two main characters (though, up till now, you can play only as Kane).
Disciples III: Renaissance (not Reincarnation) and Evil Islands.

idbeholdME: Evil Islands.
I wanted to ask someone about "Evil Islands". Is it as diffiult as I've read? The Rages of Mages games were difficult (for me). Maybe their overall balance is a bit to the "being difficult" setting!
Also, I've watched a video and the protagonist of Evil Island, was always crouching and killing unseen (something like a bonus damage to the first hit), as the only way to kill enemies! Is that so? It isn't played like a normal "I'm the strong hero" action-Rpg? It's stealth or nothing?
And what about enemy respawn?

The game can be quite difficult, same as Rage of Mages. Finished both RoM games.

The entire series is pretty pissy about it's damage x armor checks and attack x defense checks. The moment you are behind even a little bit, you will have trouble hitting the target and when you do, doing damage if you don't penetrate the enemy armor value.

As for sneaking backstabs in Evil Islands - no wonder. It is a guaranteed hit with backstab bonus. If you target the head, it is an additional massive multiplier and in many cases, it can outright kill or almost kill a lot of enemies. Otherwise, you have to go through the whole ordeal of hit checks and armor checks. I just recently spent like 5 minutes fighting a single black boar, where normal hits were doing 0 damage due to armor, so I had to target the head (which are guaranteed criticals), but has a much lower hit chance. Result was hitting like once every 15 swings, slowly chipping it down through the regen while my tank was being constantly pumped by heals and the boar also constantly pelted by ineffectual arrows and firebolt doing like 3 damage every once in a while....

So yes, it absolutely is not a game where you will roll over everything easily. Not even close. Sneaking is even mandatory in a lot of places. There are enemies even in the first part of the game you simply will not be able to touch for a loooooong time like Ogres/Trolls due to insufficient attack and damage values. Can't even hit those once yet, let alone start damaging them, while they squash me in a couple hits.

Enemies also love targeting your hands, which slows your attacks/casting to a crawl. It is an ordeal, but still somewhat satisfying, managing to find a way to progress through the gauntlet.

Important to note though, the game has 2 difficulty options. I picked the harder one (normal IIRC), but there is an easier one too. Not sure how much easier it actually is.

Wow, so many checks in the ordeal of battling with, other action-RPGs', normal enemies! Even in one-on-one! So, it's a no for me, thank you for your answer! I'm more of the normal action-RPGs (Titan Quest and the likes)!

Yeah, Evil Islands is definitely not that. You can control up to 3 characters and there is a tactical pause. Also, once you engage in a fight, there is pretty much no chance of disengaging, because stamina does not regenerate in combat, so it's also quite save/load heavy. Enemies can also randomly crit you if they happen to target and hit your head, which often results in instant death, even when at/near full HP.

So, as if its high difficulty wasn't enough, the game cheats too, to defeat the player forcibly!! :O
Drakensang, which I've finished, was difficult too, but in no way unfair.
