Honestly, I like it this way. I can find out early if I can spend what little money I have on this or something else.

Many of them are not isometric... but most of them are really, really good games.

I warmly recommend Druidstone, such an overlooked gem!

Enebias: I warmly recommend Druidstone, such an overlooked gem!
I liked it a lot until I came to an extremly lengthy mission where I just had to camp for an eternity in one edge of the map waiting for endless hordes of enemies to approach and die.

But maybe I need to go back to the game at some point.
Reminder I can replay Disco Elysium trying not to be a sorry cop (I still have a lot of stuff to do in that game) and still have to try the Tower of Time that was actually a nice freebie I overlooked when we got it. Vampire Fall, I have quit it twice on mobile also because of the touch controls, and the fact it's maybe not the kind of game I want to play on a smartphone, maybe I need to try it on a pc to see it shine for me.
the Lumo discunt is weird, the base game is more expensive the the deluxe
I keep going back and forth on buying Geneforge Mutagen.
I'll probably end up buying it. I enjoyed Avernum until I got burned out. I'm hoping the monster system and just by being newer, Mutagen will be easier to play for long periods of time.
Didn't we have a weekend deal with the same theme and same games in this year a few weeks ago ?

I don't know which mission you are mentioning specifically, but usually when hordes of enemies are around there's either some method to avoid them entirely (running away included) or you locked yourself into a dead end.
The game is a puzzle through and through, and if obstacles seem unsurmountable there's usually a non-obvious, completely different way to pass them.

This is another sale which highlights why gog needs a nest or folding function for those games with many DLCs clogging up the sales list.
