DubConqueror: You could go the route of the poster above you, Themken is From [so nowhere]

*edit: why does the forum software eat the blank space after the word 'From'?

tinyE: I have asked GOG several times to make Pangaea an option. That would solve it for everyone.
I'd move there as well if it became available. Being from the Netherlands is no longer something to be proud of (to get back on topic in this thread): our government has been pushing a neo-liberal agenda benefiting the already rich countries and the multinationals in the Euro-crisis and we're bungling way below on the ranking of European countries regarding environmental policy. Back when I was young, the Netherlands were a leader in environmental policies, now our government with the liberal party in charge is afraid of alienating big businesses and only wants to adhere to the minimum effort required by European law.

*note for Americans: 'liberal' means the right wing in European policy (though they're closer to the left wing Democrats when compared to America). Left wing in Europe is still socialist luckily.

White people allowed illegal immigrants and refugees into America.

Now they wonder why these refugees are criminalizing and terrorizing their country.

stoopid

stoopid
Criminalizing and terrorizing is an age old tradition in the America's, starting in 1492 when white people decided it was a good idea to terrorize red people and later black people for profit.

*Slavery, another thing to be ashamed for as Dutchman.

I'm tired of life in general.
Sometimes a machine just won't cooperate, frustrating your every attempt to make it work correctly and accurately. This is one of those times. The worst part is when you've exhausted your knowledge and bright ideas but the customer still needs the machine to do the job properly. The point where you've reached out to all of your fellow techs and nobody has any flashes of brilliance for you to try.

HereForTheBeer: try.
Is there power coming to the outlet it is plugged into?
23 years at this stuff and I forgot to check that it's plugged in! ; )

Wish it were that simple

I second that totally!
One or two of my former college classmates are insanely smart and accomplished, but they cannot stop boasting about their achievements. After a while, I just want to unfriend them.

Are you kidding???????????? Must remind myself to not ask you for help with the nuke trigger or filling a water bottle or starting a fire or how not to trip and stub big toe or down a beer in one gulp or open a letter without getting paper cuttered or put the garbage out the right night or mow the lawn without running over one's foot or eating an ice cream whilst standing on one's head or reading a comic and reading the words not aloud or catching a funnel web using just thumb and fore finger or patting a red belly on the head or plain old walking across the street or....or........as a matter of fact, nothing.

I did not ask whether it was plugged in but whether the outlet was recieveing power. Last month I could not understand why the hoover (vacuum cleaner in Am Eng) was not working and it turned out the fuse had blown for apparently no big reason.

It's not that sort of problem. Machine works, but is having a stubborn problem with the quality and consistency of the task it performs. I get what you asked - I was just sort of wishing I had missed something simple of that nature. Though on the way to troubleshooting this last problem, i did correct several problems of the "Why didn't the installer do this correctly?" variety, one of which was as simple as removing two temporary jumper wires that got left behind.

Then,you got me:)
So, all this ranting about how white people do this or that. Who is really considered "white" these days? I'm part American Indian {but not much, sadly) so how "white" am I? Yeah, I'm white-skinned, but so MANY of us Americans have some real surprises if we look into our ancestry. Makes me laugh about all these White Supremicists.
