It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

For a better tomorrow.

It's no secret that GOG.com (the platform and the community gathered around it) is growing at an exceptional rate all around the world. We're trying to keep that in mind as we look for new ways to improve our service for everyone. Obviously, one of the most important functions for all of you is downloading your games - preferably as fast and as reliably as possible.

For some of you this might sound familiar (yep it’s our 3rd time!), once again we are in the process of benchmarking various download locations and trying to get the most representative sample of worldwide results. That means wee need to look at as many unique ISPs / cities / countries as possible, and we need a little help from you! Below you will find a simple test that requires just one click and won't take more than 2 minutes of your time to complete:

2015 CDN TEST

Your help is greatly appreciated here! Of course you can run the test as many times as possible (preferably at different locations and different times of day). Oh, and keep in mind that we used a little bit of Flash in this test, so if you want to participate please make sure you have the flash player installed and/or you are not using any flash blocking plugins in your browser.
Meh, I'll skip. Won't install flash and too lazy to log in using Chrome. Maybe next time GOG.

Thanks for always trying to improve! Keep it up! :D
It'd be more interesting if you put some number/spells on the test page.
Completed successfully, as usual. Can't complaining about download, with Galaxy/GOG downloader it goes up to very stable 4.3MB/s, which is max I can get with my 30mb/s connection, rarely dropping by a half with GOG.

only if not shaved ; )
Gaming PC
Test would not complete on Chrome (Flash does what Flash does best: crashing).
Test would not complete on Internet Explorer (stopped after Test #1).

Surface Pro 3
Test worked on Chrome.
I'd love to help but I'm without a laptop for the week as we've just arrived in Spain for our Easter break. I can't run the tests on my tablet as it's Android so l can't install Flash.
Wait...isn't there a sticky thread for this?
Tested on my laptop from my parents', I'll try again on my desktop once I'm home. :)
GOG, nice to hear that you are expanding.

However, the #1 reason that holds you back right now is that you don't give developers the tools to update their games with a beta patch or hotfix, similar to how Steam's beta patch works. Most people can afford to wait for the proper patch, but a good deal of people would like to download a beta patch because they need it or desire to try out the newest feature.

Obsidian's Pillars of Eternity is a good recent example, how some people regret not having bought on Steam instead.

Trust your developers that they can handle the tools and test a patch properly, and you will gain from it.
Sorry guys, my boxes are flash-free.
Have you considered using torrents?

Russonc: Done... not as fun as playing a game but.... :)
But there is a progress bar going up O.O
GOG download test GOTY 2015
"That means wee need to look at as many unique ISPs / cities / countries as possible, and we need a little help from you! Below you will find a simple test that requires just one click and won't take more than 2 minutes of your time to complete:"

Should be "we" instead of "wee." which has a rather different meaning, including a couple of vernacular ones that aren't polite.

Also, I'll run this a few times, but since I'm on satellite internet, who knows what weird data you'll get.
from china, test page stuck like:

0% done... please wait while all tests are being completed.

also the galaxy client in china, cannot download any games.
