Real time training in total war Warhammer 3 is working quite advantageous. I feel smarter and more secure in reality, creating opportunities as I go, forwards most of the time, though i won't shy from tackling smart situations from the side.....

With that out of the way. I'm still not really certain how to approach the bigger battles. For now i've decided upon using a.i. commanders to command a 2d army if we go the full monty, 40 vs 40 units, and to be totally honest, I can't even imagine how the current use of armies in the warhammer trilogy came into being. Sure, the battles fit in a timescale as small as any small break. Snack, Smoke, Toilet, Etc. which of course serves a need in this ever hectic life most of us are leading but, really it should be more than watching 2 blobs collide while you nervously scout the unit cards visible aiming to choose leaders or other units with special skills to try and activate those in appropriate timings. Historical war view points learns about how ancient war was indeed not any more than sending blobs of men to march into one very big blob, and well they've certainly managed to capture that aspect of war very well. Personally i feel a more automated approach with commanders assigned certain points or targets and some room reserved for a lot of autonomy would do the game more just and maybe who knows, technology might be at blame here for not progressing fast enough. Still, the game feels like cheap and i'm annoyed for falling so easily to it!
Anyways... ThZe pictures
Pic. 1. From a safe distance, i'm awaiting the arrival of the ai commander. blue arrows indicate to what points he commands his units, I'm thinking, I would go mad controlling such a large force on 2 fronts. There are a couple of tricks such as location shortcuts and double click to select all similar units but, that needs some thoughts on forehand. Ensuring similar units don't end up in both formations for one. I do feel a bit silly for looking down upon armies shared by others on TW fora with a lot of similar units... they where realtiming of course! Where specialists armies are only comprehensebla to the insane and the non time limiteds.
Pic. 2. That stupid hold the enemy was hiding behind severely limited my moving grounds, and his options too now it seems, silly stretched line
pic. 3 Enough of the wait i Banzaied my forces into the enemy, which actually went pretty well. This Slaaneshi commanded army splits up in a nice Nurgle only department (which is very slow outside the frogs) A main segment which is made up out of different but strong melee components and a fast all Slaanesh flank unit that is really terrifying.
I'm not sure what happened with everything moving so fast, but we won in the end!

Oooh so nice :D :D :D
