Final surprise of the GOG 17th Anniversary!

From its haunting beginnings to a bold new era – SILENT HILL f is now available on GOG, alongside its Digital Deluxe Edition and Digital Deluxe Upgrade!

For decades, Silent Hill has stood as one of gaming’s most powerful explorations of fear, emotion, and the human psyche. Now, with SILENT HILL f, the series embraces a new generation while staying true to the heart that defined it. We’re proud to welcome this title to GOG, where it is DRM-free and yours to keep forever.

Check it out!

Please note that the Pink Rabbit Costume DLC and Bonus DLC (including the Artbook and OST) are currently available only through GOG GALAXY. We’re aware of the issue and are working on a fix to make them fully accessible offline in the coming days. We apologize for the inconvenience.

As much as I'd like to get this, with the pre-order DLC missing I'll wait for them to either make it available in some form or a significant discount, I just can't justify to myself spending this much on an incomplete game, no matter how minor the missing part may be.

As expected, GOG forum continues to be the most penny-pinching community on the internet. Even Clair Obscur, which released at a relatively budget price, caught a few "nah, I'll wait for a sale" comments.

I know it's been discussed to death, but GOG really needs to restrict reviews to people who've actually bought the game. It's far too easy for people to review bomb games on here without buying them.

A perceived high price is not a reason to give a game a one-star review. It IS a great way to make a major Japanese publisher re-consider releasing games here at all, though, when anyone with no interest in the game can trash it the second it arrives.

BanditKeith2: Well one reason to wait for Delta is we need the second game back first at the very least

Chacranajxy: They'll probably just dump the Master Collection here at some point instead. Wasn't the issue the licensing for some of the footage they used in cut scenes? That might have only been resolved for the Master Collection, specifically.
True though wouldn't surprise me if seeing as they can be bought separately just dump 2 here and leave the o.3 third game so we'd need to get Delta . Would love to be proven wrong getting the whole Master Collection volume 1 and yes it was some archival footage licensing they refused to renew

I'd say depends on a games age to restrict or not. Like ''fairly new to new.'' restrict.. fairly old ones don't restrict

Most hills are naturally silent.

Syphon72: Honestly, most Silent Hill games are loosely connected, except for 1 and 3.

So you can start with either 2 or 4.

ProfessorIcepick: Man, Konami will do anything besides give you those old ports of Silent Hills 2 and 3, huh? It's kind of impressive.
Yeah, I was expecting those to release at the same time tbh. I even told RohanKar to wait because he said he was going to put up SH3 with all the fixes this month. He'll probably do the same with SH2. So I guess I'll be getting those from Internet Archive while GOG figures out when they're actually going to do it officially.

It's an idea, but it wouldn't neatly catch every case. I've been wondering what's behind the strange rating discrepancies on these compilations:

That's great, it shows publishers that DRM free can be profitable.

"Why do not developers release new AAA games on GOG!"

Thunker: 80 € !? LOL Pass !
It's the new AAaaaaAAAAAAAaAAAaaaaaaAAAA!!!!!! standard.

It's just that GOG doesn't really get exposed to it as we usually get the games much later. So basically a reality check on the current state of the AAaaaaAAAAAAAaAAAaaaaaaAAAA!!!!!! gaming industry. Glorious, isn't it? :)

Well the average user rating being low for games with Digital Eclipse makes sense given the games they are involved in when on a drm-free store quickly gets updates dropped and/or no dlc till enough stink is raised with' 'technical differently '' sited for dropping the drm versions but supporting others yet with Atari 50 its shown to be BS claims. While critics given high scores is paid to in someway
