Which side are you on, boy?

Black Moon Chronicles, an epic fantasy RTS about choosing the right ally and going to war, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Wismerhill is not a hero, yet when he comes into possession of a small kingdom, he knows he must become one and fast. War is brewing and the half-elf must choose who to side with, in order to ensure that the kingdom of Garundel does not get swallowed whole by the tidal waves of history.
Wismerhill can fight alongside one of four factions, each with its own personality, units, and unique advantages. Throughout his adventure he will hire new soldiers, research new unit types, spells, and abilities, fortify his castle, and pit his regiments against those of his enemies. Preparation for battle is key, but the tactical decisions you make during the real-time combat may prove to be of equal -if not greater- importance. Will you manage to maintain, and perhaps even expand the kingdom of Garundel amidst the chaos?

Guide an upstart king towards greatness and rewrite the Black Moon Chronicles, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Fratus Sinister is the new grand master of the order of Light.
With a guy named Sinister in charge of an organisation that has Light in its name, what could possibly go wrong?

Neat, that was my first and the most favourite RTS, completed in every possible way and faction, and then I even tried mod it but unfortunatelly files were 1) in french 2) sprites were in weird format 3) hard time to edit scripts to integrate into campaign so easiest way to make new maps for skirmish mode. Played it till wore install disk off and lost second one which is required to boot the game. Even retail game has troubles sometimes to play on everything higher than XP wth XP running gamne 7 of 10 of times. Good stuff, would play again anytime especially now since is on GOG and probably all nuisances are fixed. ;P

EDIT. And for some reason this game never adds to wishlist even if it shows as such on game card...

Soccorro: Does the game have basebuilding?
Dunno, as I've not actually played this one before. But I love Cryo's work (Commander Blood, Lost Eden, Dragon Lore), so it's a must have for me.

And it looks like someone else was able to answer the question for you. :)
I though I knew pretty much every late 90s RTS. Apparently I was wrong.
Nice to see more Cryo show up as well.
It seems like there's lost of Cryo love here! Do you hear GOG? We want more Cryo games! Thank you GOG (and Anuman) for bringing Black Moon Chronicles.

Cavalary: 4 Gb RAM requirement for a game from '99 that I find originally required 32 Mb? Oy.
4GB RAM was a sci-fi scenario back in '99. :P
Holy f#$%...

This is such a pleasant surprise. Especially if it implies more to come.

Not that the game was super good, but it was quite faithful to its theme and I have a huge soft spot for it. :)
Looks good but I'm not a huge fan of RTS (My brain is too slow... : ) )

No kidding. I only got a computer with 32 Mb in autumn of '98. And it had a 3.2 Gb HDD, so not even 4 Gb there.
This is nice but I want Salammbo

I know this is your usual, generic reply (or a version of it) but it's your loss! :D Besides, just because you have more RTS than you can ever play, it does not mean that Black Moon Chronicles is a game that you can just put into your backlog and forget about it!
