Attacked on Titan.

FLASHBACK™ is now available for pre-order DRM-free, 10% off.

As resilient as its scientist protagonist, the legendary platformer FLASHBACK™ returns in its 25th anniversary with an additional Modern mode! It brings a post-FX graphic filter, remastered music and sound, tutorials, and a Rewind function which should make your attempt at escaping Titan slightly easier.

The game will be released on GOG.com on December 4th.
Serious question: why the ™ at the end of some games, but not others? Does it mean this name is more trademarked than, say, X4: Foundations or Creaks (the other 2 games I see NEWS released on the first page of General Discussion).
Beamdogus maximus!

SirPrimalform: Wow, this is the most HD I've seen since Simon the Sorcerer HD!
Funny, I just thought the same. Wonder if they used the same shitty filter.
I use Adobe Illustrator all day long... looks to me like they took the original assets and did a vector trace of them so they could scale them up to any resolution
Bit sceptical about the remaster (man, that filter looks bad), but nice to see Flashback finally show up here.
Let's see how it turns out.
high rated
The game is great, but why did they choose that awful filter? Dosbox offers better filters! Hell, the original graphics looked better. It looks as if they had taken a sponge to smear everything out. And why would anyone want to pre-order this?

I recall a lecture by a lawyer that said that TM really should stand for Totally Meaningless.
Instabuy,

Thank you, GOG :)
These "modern" looks really look like shit. :P

because it's flashback. i would preorder flashback if it was smeared with the semen of a geriatric snapping turtle.

that said, the filtur does indeed look like many turds,

Ah, probably that is exactly what they did to achieve this graphics 'quality'! ;-D

Yea, I still get some nightmares from those screenshots. I have no idea why anyone would prefer those smeary filters to crisp pixels, or even playing it on a crt monitor at low/native resolution.

Luckily it says on storepage that it contains the classic game, so I believe you can turn em off or play the classic version. Whew!
WTF, pre-order?
Also, that "Modern mode" is really a crappy scaler.
I would put all my money on saying that they used Illustrator to convert the low res pixels to vectors to scale up...

Just looking at the screenshots of the game, it's easy to spot if you use Illustrator... not the best approach, but one of the easier, less time consuming options than recreating the art at high-res

Except from the wording to use the new features like rewind it seems like you'd be stuck with the awful filter. :/
