IAmSinistar: Any clues on the content?

According to Epicbundle, you can get a free steam key for "Anomaly Warzone Earth". I have just signed in and they ran out of steam keys temporaly, BUT there were (drm-free?) links for the game installers for Windows, Mac and Linux.

tempting, however it seems (according to the reviews) a lot of the steam versions of the games dont work for one reason or another (and any drm free version provided is likely to be closer to the steam version), and I'd be surprised if there are any GOG codes for the games... dunno whether to bother or not.

Thanks! It sounds likely that I already have most of the ones I would want. So I can let it debut unbought and then determine if there's anything I want from it.
Samurai Gunn (DRM-Free, Steam) has a -66% as the daily deal on the Humble Store.

genkicolleen: lol~ Well, he forced Hamilton's Great Adventure on me in return, so +1 for Linus, too! ^__^

madth3: Oh! The gameplay on that one looked interesting but I've read some bad reviews too. I'd be very interested to hear what you think about it once you get time to play it.
This is from back in late September, but here I am to report! XD I had immediately installed the game after Linus gave it to me, but for some reason, it would not work on this computer >_< I finally remembered to download it at home, and gave it a try.

At first it seemed like more time was spent on the graphics than on the gameplay, but as you progress things get more interesting. I went from being kind of bored and not really understanding what I was doing to really enjoying the game! It's a fun puzzle game, provided that you can get it to work on your system ;)

Well, I got it in December. I will install it soon to see if it works.

Thank you!

genkicolleen: I never have been able to figure out any of the games in these pre-orders :p There are some guesses down below if you go to the page.

Galebourn (no idea who that is, just someone who posted there) says the following:

I'd say Sid Meier's Pirates, Colonization, Covert Action and a few other games like Dragonsphere will most likely be in this bundle.

Bundlestars had a "Pioneer's bundle" a few days ago. I'm pretty sure this will be almost the same, probably with 1 or 2 different games.

it contained the following games: Sid Meier's Colonization (Classic) / Sid Meier's Covert Action (Classic) / Sid Meier's Pirates! Gold Plus (Classic) / B-17 Flying Fortress: The Mighty 8th / Silent Service / Dragonsphere / Command H.Q. / Across The Rhine /

I also mention of Darklands, Redline, Gothic 1, and Jade Empire.

So really, I have no idea! It could be none of these! *throws hands in air*
Is this expected to be a bundle of Steam only games?

$0.99 for one Steam key, BTA for two keys.

I don't know. I saw some people saying that they hoped for a GOG key or two.

True, but sometimes we get what we hope for! ;D

I guess my real question would be... are any of the retroism games available DRM-free anywhere other than GOG?

Shame on dig. I would have at least thought about it if it also came with a desura key.

Blame it on the developers, I guess.

I don't think DIG has much leverage to negotiate, supposing they wanted to.
