Well, I'm of two minds on this one.

On one hand, I enjoyed the learning experience, and it was good to see how a game works.

On the other hand, this also feels like a massive fucking waste of time.
And when I say "massive", I mean fifty foot high burning neon letters-level massive.

(And just to clarify, it feels like a waste of time because everything got clusterfucked, culminating in a dogshit non-ending.)

I'm a bit conflicted on the experience, to put it mildly.

Also, have to say for the sake of the knowledge that I'll kick myself in the ass if I don't, having a scum player rub my nose in a victory that they didn't achieve isn't exactly sitting well either.

Oh well. Fuck it. Not planning on playing again, but I wish you all a good evening, town or scum.

I wondered if you were scamming me. Ah well, I took the risk and made my deal. Hopefully I made for a good hot dog.

trentonlf: The game was truly broken when mchak posted PM info, RW was right. This is why I despise talking anything in PM's as it breaks games.
I still don't get how it was broken with my claim .... yogs pm read station chef (and he was scum) and dedos read Droid Maintenance Bot (and yet he was town) ... so the whole station thing did not break the game. The believe from some people that quads intervention said anything about my alignment was just wrong and I tried to point that out oftentimes...
oh well. the last intervention on the other hand didn't leave any doubt about alignment of crow and jmich, though. So I think this was the final nail in the coffin of the game.

Anyway, I enjoyed myself. Though I was quite a bit scared I'd muck things up for my team. Glad it ended without me doing so ;) Though I do really regret never once sabotaging a crisis, I wanted to so much ;)

No, it was AgentCarr16 which truly broke it. Everyone I confirmed as town by their reactions to it were, in fact, town, even so some of them were just my instinct to their reactions...

For the record, AgentCarr16 was confirmed because of his alignment "Station Crew (Town)" with even the parentheses in the correct place and this was missing from the OP. This was 100%. No scum can take the chance that they could guess the exact words even if they were Station Alien (Scum).

Krypsyn was mostly confirmed by denoting the missing "Station" in McHack's claim because that meant his role started with Station too. And then completely confirmed by mod intervention.

Vitek, Trentonlf and Dedoporno were likely confirmed by their reactions to the proceedings.

And to be honest, after that PM debacle, I was sacrificing myself and was initially planning to pass the decision power to the scum. Yes, I got to choose who would get it next...

While you think you were doing well, I had all but McHack figured out today. I knew when I was alive two nights, your plan was to try to lynch me. So I waited and when Yog and Adalia jumped on my credibility, they were scum. I knew Hijack was scum when Bookwyrm was proven to be a doctor. Remember when I said if there was a doctor in the house, there is no town jailkeeper?

Also, the last one only confirmed JMich, not CarrionCrow. Quad could have just been protecting him the same way he protected you.

mchack: I still don't get how it was broken with my claim ....
I think that was a misquote / misremember - agentcarr had the more glaring PM copy / paste.

Also - the hell just happened in here?

And agent what WAS your alignment - were you truly fully town? And droids come on spill the beans - what were you little guys???

Dedoporno has been killed!
His Alignment: Station Droids (Town)
HE WAS: "Spud" (Droid Maintenance Bot): STR: 5 FIN: 7 INT: 3

The whole issue with your claim was you left Station out all together, not sure how yogs read as it has not been posted. And as I said you were scum, I would have lynched you in a heartbeat but no one else was up for it.
It's kind of maddening how people feel the need to blame me for something that was completely out of my control. How on earth was I supposed to know that the PMs were messed up? If anyone actually feels that I ruined the game by full claiming when I did, I'm sorry, but I would do it again if it came down to it. It's really not my responsibility to keep PMs from affecting the game.

Yeah, but our plan today was to run wagons on both JMich and Carrion, split the vote, then dive on whichever one rolled. We knew JMich was a roleblocker and suspected Carrion was the other (but I told truth when I swore I didn't know). You really think you could have rallied the troops today to lynch one of us? Nope.

And then Day 5, at LYLO, with Town needing perfect unanimity to lynch, were you going to succeed there with all of us assassinating your character? We didn't need to lynch you - we only needed to split opinion enough to either get a crisis to sabotage or go to no-lynch and we'd have it. Or if we could pull one single Town vote on you - just one - we'd zerg rush you the way you rushed Ix, and we'd have it.

It was in the bag.

Of course, it was only possible because of mod intervention on Day 1 on mchack's lynch, so the fruit from the poison tree fell on both sides of the fence.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm actually disappointed with his this turned out, it could have been great, but it fell apart.

I'd recommend perhaps watching one or paying another one, just to see the difference, but I can understand.

Good evening, Master CarrionCrow!!!

Just for curiosity's sake - why didn't you guys night kill JMich early on?
Was it because the roleblocking was causing as much confusion as helping town?

You did not break the game, anyone who was paying attention like Krypsyn could have noticed mchack's claim. You posting just brought it to attention.

That is based on people believing you or HijacK or Adalia? The case against HijacK was very good at that point once the doctor was revealed.

I do believe you are premature to gloat, I do recall another "perfect game" for scum but by the time we were at LyLo, town ran the table.

He didn't have to quote "Station Crew (Town)" but what actually broke the game was the absence of alignment in the OP example.

I'm with RW on this one, I don't think scum had it in the bag either.

Ah man, I really hope you don't think that's what I'm doing. We didn't win. We couldn't. We might never have gotten anywhere without Quad stopping mchack's lynch Day 1.

Still, I have to say... after even more of that endless horrible attitude of yours... don't let the door hit you on the way out, okay?

Hope you don't feel this way either. You had nothing to do with it. It's all the [players I respect deeply as humans and gentlemen] who feel the only way to win as Town is to compare minutiae in PMs, and suck all the fun out of everything. You were great.

Thanks for framing JMich for us, btw!

We were eliminating players, not roles. JMich was acting Scummy as all hell, and we were setting him up for Scum Roleblocker.

For whatever it's worth, I don't think you ruined the game.

It's a game of lies, mistrust and manipulation, wherein most of those playing have little to no information.
If information is posted, someone will latch onto it. The only way to eliminate the potential is to leave it out entirely.

I'll pass. Thank you, though. =)
