tfishell: I just wish I could give away Battle Realms as I know I'll never play it. Maybe at least message Support about that. :P
It seems to be possible:

Maybe if you already own the game you get a code? :P Oh well, message to Support sent in any case.

haydenaurion: Any opinions on the difficulty of Heroes of Might & Magic 4? I thought of getting it, but some of the youtube walkthroughs I watched of it made it seem way too easy. I even watched videos from a guy who used the Equilibris mod and played on the hardest difficulty on the Undead campaign or something it was called and he was walking all over the game like it was nothing. Does the game get difficult at all or should I just avoid it?
The AI is basically inactive in part 4. Pity, because I really like the graphics and some of the changes.

Deltafunction: Thanks GOG for a great sale. Now how about a Double Insomnia sale next.
avatar
apehater: oh god, please no more insomnia! i barely survived the last one!
Atleast jack Keane 2 is back so people can get some sleep... ;)
avatar
bernstein82: to those moaning that the enormously long running D&D bundle was missing: seriously?
if you know that & haven't bought it by now then you're obviously not gonna buy it :)
Sure... and you're not a man until you've knocked someone out with a Toblerone.

avatar
bernstein82: i for one welcome it's absence as it makes room for other bundles on games i don't already own!
Good for you!

avatar
bernstein82: and whats that moaning about paying $8 for not buying MoO3??
pick it, save $8, thank gog, stop nagging. be happy. see that wasn't so hard...
Talk about moaning...

True, I hadn't thought of that. :)

After all this time I'm going to be sad to see it go! Very good sale, I could have gone quite crazy but as it was I'm pleased with my goodies! Some really nice prices and I think (dare I say it?) my favorite sale yet? Not so much for the "fun factor" of a hectic Insomnia but more for the huge number of games and pretty nice markdowns.

Now to play play play so I can cross my fingers and hope for a new set during the next one ;)

InfraSuperman: Pretty good sale overall. I quite enjoyed it.

However, I've still got about 10€ left and have a hard time deciding on what to get, so I'd appreciate any opinions or suggestions in regards to some the following:

Zombie Shooter 1/2
Postal 1
Lands of Lore 1+2
Anvil of Dawn
Darkstone
Tzar - The Burden of the Crown
Blitzkrieg Anthology
Total Annihilation: Kingdoms
Earth 2160

Sid Meier's Legacy Bundle (minus Pirates! Gold)
Ultima Bundle (minus Ultima VII Complete)

Thank you.
The only ones I've played are Lands of Lore 1, Anvil of Dawn, and dabbled in Ultima Underworld. Anvil of Dawn is good but quirky, LoL1 started great but I got frustrated by the combat mechanics, and it's hard to go wrong with "all the Ultima." You'll probably buy it sooner or later, why not now if that 10 euro is burning a hole in your pocket?

Edit: if you haven't already, maybe check out the "Hardcore Roleplay" bundle. All of Spiderweb's games are fantastic.

Avogadro6: -More importantly, the whole site is falling apart and there's no sign of improvement on the horizon. On the contrary, things are getting worse with every new site update and the worst thing is, you just don't seem to care.
Gog has launched almost 8 years ago and it's STILL missing core functionalities such as a proper changelog feature, which the community, thankfully, is taking care of on your behalf for free. Meanwhile, you managed to break even more things with the last major site overhaul, which was pushed only to release a buggy client barely in beta state with half-assed social features.

I like Gog but I am not going to support it anymore if this keeps up. I get that you want to expand, but if by doing so you're making the life harder for ALL your customers, you're doing it wrong. Get your act together please.
Here, here. Even a statement of recognition of the problem would be enough to reassure people that the problems on the website will be addressed.

Alas it seems like GOG is more interested on patting itself on the back over customer service policies that, while highly welcome and much appreciated, are pretty much no-brainers given the historically bad state of customer service on Steam.

Played the PlayStation version of this one on my PS2 -- pretty decent little Diablo-like ARPG, with the focus (as far as I could tell, as I barely played Diablo, and never played any other PC-ARPGs of that era) less on randomization and loot-gathering, and more on the "story"/quests (which was fairly average, from what I remember). I would imagine the PC version might look a bit better than the console version, too. :)

EDIT: for clarification

I got stuck somewhere in the campaign on a level I could not beat, so I would not consider it too easy. But as far as I remember the difficulty of the campaign levels varied considerably.

Alpha Centauri is one of the best turn-based strategy games, also Colonization, even when its graphics shows its age. If you like strategy games you can't go wrong with them. The Ultima series already has been recommended. If you own Pirates! and Ultima VII both bundles should just fit into your 10€. They are probably the best you can get from your list for the rest of your money.

Edit: Maybe this helps too, your list sorted by the user rating and the number of votes on GOG:

4.8 (3705) Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri Planetary Pack
4.8 (1063) Ultima Underworld 1+2
4.8 (480) Colonization, Sid Meier's
4.8 (174) Sid Meier's Covert Action
4.7 (453) Ultima 4+5+6
4.7 (193) Blitzkrieg Anthology
4.7 (168) Tzar: The Burden of the Crown
4.7 (106) Silent Service 1+2
4.6 (571) Lands of Lore 1+2
4.4 (172) Anvil of Dawn
4.2 (359) Ultima 1+2+3
4.2 (313) Darkstone
4.1 (535) Total Annihilation: Kingdoms + Iron Plague
3.9 (518) Earth 2160
3.7 (50) Zombie Shooter 2
3.6 (438) Ultima 8 Gold Edition
3.5 (82) Zombie Shooter
3.4 (678) POSTAL: Classic and Uncut
2.5 (714) Ultima 9: Ascension
