RWarehall: To be clear, I, presumably we, believe this town tell to only be recognizable by town. As such, by taking more time and allowing other town to acknowledge recognition, we gain confirmed town. Once revealed, anyone, even scum, can claim "Oh I saw that". So once revealed, the additional benefit ends. Is that too hard to understand?
Thankyou - you explained the reasoning behind it much better than I could!

It's pointless. I'm town, I don't see it. So in the eye of the ones that do see it I'm scum.

I also stand by my statement that if this stems from something in our PMs then lynch me as I am not playing that game again, takes the fun out of it.
Suddenly the anomaly around ddickinson changes. The St. Elmo's fire ceases and instead the air is distorted, like through a pulsing lens. You know that this is the sign of a rare spatial anomaly. These things are dangerous. If one is lucky, one is just teleported somewhere else. You have lost one of your group in this way when you were in the centre of the zone. If one is unlucky, only parts of one are teleported away.
ddickinson is caught in the gravitic pull of the anomaly. One moment she seems impossibly elongated, but that may be an optical illusion. Or not. Then she is gone and an ear-splitting thunderclap is heard. In the same moment someone else tumbles out of the anomaly. As you recover from the thunder and as the anomaly finally dies down, you recognize that it is Ixamyakxim, the one you lost to such an anomaly. Obviously he didn't die, but was only transported through time and space to this very spot. An almost impossible coincidence ... but when dealing with the zone and it's powers, 'impossible' looses it's meaning.

ddickinson has been removed from the game and has been replaced by Ixamyakxim
Please welcome Ixamyakxim to the game. Thanks for jumping in!

I'm in the process of rereading everything, but right this moment would like to ask a question.

And what would prevent scum to come out and claim "Oh I see that" right now, just to appear as town, regardless of if they do or not? Do you have a way to tell apart those who actually see it from those who pretend to see it?

That is a tricky bit, but we could always ask the one we doubt to make the reveal...
I was dealing with insurance all day yesterday and was not home to get online, so I am a day behind and some of my points and things that I agree with or that stand out or I want to questions may have already been discussed and answered. However I am going through the thread since I was last on and point things out still.

First let me do this as it was a RSV.
UNVOTE Krypsyn

avatar
TwilightBard: I'm more interested in seeing reasoning and votes, getting people to commit their thoughts that can cause scum to slip up.

That even can extend to lists too. A list of names is ok, but explanations allow for greater conversation. Why is this person on your list? What makes them stand out?
I completely agree with this. I think conversation about who we think maybe scum and why will get people talking and this type of discussion can help with getting a feel for a person and maybe an idea of how they are going to be playing the game. I would rather talked and put press on and see reactions then go off anyones play from another game.

avatar
dedoporno: Wyrm managed to put himself in a situation where a vote on him may seem like the a very decent step, but that is only so if you don't see why he's almost surely Town.
I am not sure I like this. Jumping in at the end of a back and forth with two players and then voting for one with out a strong explanation. I will vote on who won the mini battle and look like I am contributing with out really having to get my feet wet. I dunno something doesn't feel right to me.

avatar
RWarehall: Very very interesting...looks like the game is finally on...
I'll try to post something a bit more substantial later...
Welcome to the game. I feel like I have not seen much of you.

avatar
RWarehall: I promised a response. I have all my circles and arrows (large and small, pointing up and down).
I am not sure if this some game hint or not but can you explain. As I have no clue what it means.

avatar
Krypsyn: This game needs more voting, because voting is fun.
Voting applies pressure but Im not sure how much when there is no explanation for the vote so not really much of a explanation from the voted party can be had.

avatar
HijacK: However, it took me quite a bit to finally realize what a fool I was not to make a case out of this when I was alive. But here's the thing. This is indeed a double edged sword because this case only applies to Sage. If we had lynched everyone else but Sage, we would've been in a delicate spot where we could have lost the game.
I knew my ears where ringing yesterday for a reason. but in all honesty I quoted this post because I need a spot to post so I can get some liter boxes clean before it snows anymore and I can't see to put the trash out. Will be back in a bit to finish catching up with the tread.
*****************************************************
Vote count (another, hopefully I didn't miss anyone this time)

dedoporno - 4 (TwilightBard, JMich, Krypsyn, flubbucket)
trentonlf - 2 (dedoporno, Robbeasy)
Krypsyn - 1 (RWarehall)
HijacK - 1 (CSPVG)
Bookywyrm - 1 (trentonlf)

with 15 alive it takes 8 to lynch
dedoporno is closest to lynch at L-4

It refers to the piece of paper on my desk with player names, posts numbers sometimes, circles, arrows. It's a very high-tech database system. Ok, maybe not. And the best thing is...tomorrow I can look at it and try to figure out what I meant by my notes yesterday!

And what would stop anyone from refusing to do so using your own argument?

This is completely true.
And in fact, anyone claiming to "see it" now is going to automatically be more suspicious than Robb or RWarehall, who "saw" it first. So if I were scum, first thing I would do is jump in and say I could see it as soon as possible, so whatever this apparent tell is I don't think it proves anything. To me Robb, dedo and RWarehall are just as suspicious as anyone else. Infact, it's entirely possible the whole thing has been cooked up by them all to give them town points. I kind of doubt any scum team would be stupid enough to link themselves together so definitely and so soon in the game, but WIFOM; maybe that's what they want us to think.

And I'm with trent, if this is another PM quoting thing (especially since we had the whole cryptoclaiming conversation and Lift was very clear that wasn't acceptable), I'm out.
At the end of the day, after the reveal, it will still be up to each individual to decide how useful the information was. If you don't think its foolproof; if you think someone has been faking it. It's no "I win" button. And at some point, there will be no point in holding back the info. I'm in favour of its reveal before night, but I leave that decision to Dedo as he was the keenly observant one.

Whiny, immature, ignorant, Debbie Downer, "some douche", etc. etc. ;)

OK, no more ribbing, I promise!

I had that one coming so it's all good LOL

So, I should always vote on the one who seems to be getting knocked down? Only scum would vote on somebody just because said somebody is getting overwhelmed. But I like your post, though. A reasonably large post with lots of words that count for nothing in the end. Too much of "we need to start doing" and too less of actual starting to do something of the listed items.

When I said the cow can be milked more I pretty much meant this. This certainly can't go forever and sooner or later it will lose steam anyway. So yeah, the information will get out in the open one way or another before nightfall. I'm aware that it may come as my last words before getting lynched and I'm prepared for it - it already gave Town an edge even though some of you don't see it yet. An edge that will take a while to shake off.

You know what amuses me the most? Last game when PM's were a thing at one point no one who was Town had a problem with that.

Suddenly - a problem!

Really? And how old are we to call me out when I post a valid statement about a possible mistake that upset players and the mod enough that removing me would have been valid. You don't think I felt like shit about this enough already. Grow up or go back to playing Candy Land.
