What kind of hero will you be when our new big publisher joins GOG.com?

Wow, a Monday release and big news today? Is it the end of days?

As we‘ve already told you, 2012 will be a year of grandeur for GOG.com. To prove that, another big publisher will join GOG.com in a move that wasn’t predicted even by the Mayans (and they knew a lot about 2012). Our new publisher carries an impressive portfolio with some of your all-time favorite game heroes that will join the GOG.com catalog in coming weeks. Two game characters that are now a standard in their genres will grace our catalog on this Thursday with as we launch the publisher with style, bringing you two new games on one day.

What kind of hero will you be on that day? What are our two major releases?

GOG.com will be giving you clues about the new publisher right here on our forums, hints about one of the two heroes you’ll see on Thursday via and clues about the other hero on [url=http://www.facebook.com/gogcom]Facebook.
Garrett is more anti-hero than hero, I think.

...

THIEF!!! I hope that's true! That game is a pain to get working correctly!

Zacron: It would be cool to see SquareEnix, and let GOG get into Emulating. Final Fantasy?
Final fantasy 7 & 8 both had PC releases, so no need to go into the complicated realm of emulation just yet.

Garrett is a hero, just a hero that most people don't know about. His actions in all 3 Thief games have resulted in him saving the day (not going to spoil how...)

And I do hope that if it is Thief, they release Thief 1 & Thief 1 Gold as separate downloads (but the same pack). While Gold adds a few new levels, updates the engine and does some other nice things, the new levels themselves are rather lackluster, with only 1 being good, and they also change some things in other levels, and not always for the better. If I were to replay thief (which I most likely will), it would not be Thief Gold. (oh and I do own the entire thief series, so I don't actually need the GOG release of those ;) )

If is Lucas Arts, I hope at least they launch in GOG the remaining decent games which aren't already available in Steam, like Outlaws, Maniac Mansion/Day of the Tentacle, Full Throtle, Grim Fandango, Sam & Max, the X-Wing/Tie Fighter series, KOTOR 2

Eidos is also a good choice, Steam already have the entire Deus Ex series, but they doesn't have Thief 1 e 2

Just the complicated task of polishing a turd port :p

Come on Squeenix. Tomb Raider Gold would be sweet and you could buy GliDos for an even better experience.

Lexor: Quest for Glory: So You Want to Be a Hero?
My thought was exactly...!!

Malek86: I'm hoping on Eidos, but that sounds unlikely. I guess Lara Croft is as standard as they come, but I can't think of the other one.
If it's Eidos then that may mean Legacy of Kain. Kain/Raziel?

Fingers crossed for one of the System Shock games, but I'm sure you guys are probably right about Thief/Deus Ex, in which case I'll probably purchase Thief as I've never played it. I still own my physical copy of DE, and it runs perfectly on Windows 7.

just stop it, dude. not only is SS not gonna happen anytime soon, it would be an EA game and EA is already a GoG-signed publisher. these games are from a new publisher.
¿Be the best hidden Hero?

METAL GEAR???????

This would be absolutely AMAZING!!!!!
Can't wait till Thursday, bring on Lucasarts!
