What kind of hero will you be when our new big publisher joins GOG.com?

Wow, a Monday release and big news today? Is it the end of days?

As we‘ve already told you, 2012 will be a year of grandeur for GOG.com. To prove that, another big publisher will join GOG.com in a move that wasn’t predicted even by the Mayans (and they knew a lot about 2012). Our new publisher carries an impressive portfolio with some of your all-time favorite game heroes that will join the GOG.com catalog in coming weeks. Two game characters that are now a standard in their genres will grace our catalog on this Thursday with as we launch the publisher with style, bringing you two new games on one day.

What kind of hero will you be on that day? What are our two major releases?

GOG.com will be giving you clues about the new publisher right here on our forums, hints about one of the two heroes you’ll see on Thursday via Twitter and clues about the other hero on Facebook.

Gonchi: Didn't Final Fantasy 7's price drop a lot after it was released on PSN? I remember it selling easily for $50+ a couple of years ago.
yeah, you can find it for ~$15 nowadays
What game of EIDOS has anything to do with being a friend of a rabbit-thing? I saw that "clue" and thought it was Lucasart's Sam & Max for sure. I wish GOG would quit teasing LA because it'll probably never happen as long as Lucas is around.

bazilisek: Now I'm not sure if it was the latest official patch or a fan patch that did this (I believe the former), but the game can now include a "speed up" button: the backslash key, I think. When you hold it down, everything becomes a lot faster until you let go. It's a brilliant feature for all those elevator rides and FF-like combat silliness, and I can't really imagine playing without it.

But you are right, Anachronox is a fantastic game. I'm buying that the moment it appears here. Quite frankly, of the four titles teased, this one is the most exciting by a large margin for me.
Cool! I didn't know about the backspace thing. I just checked and I still have my saves so I'm anxious to try it out. Oh, and I am just reminded... there is a dance sequence in the Cold Sweat S__ Machine bar about mid-game that is quite possibly the funniest thing I've ever seen (in a game). It's a huge production number with a singer called "Stilleto Anyway" on a small stage in a lounge, and everybody in the bar does this huge Y-M-C-A-style dance number to die for. I love this game!

Thanks for the tip!

Hitman.

It was a rather obscure reference, to be sure.

Can you elaborate? How is Hitman a friend of a rabbit-thing?
