What kind of hero will you be when our new big publisher joins GOG.com?

Wow, a Monday release and big news today? Is it the end of days?

As we‘ve already told you, 2012 will be a year of grandeur for GOG.com. To prove that, another big publisher will join GOG.com in a move that wasn’t predicted even by the Mayans (and they knew a lot about 2012). Our new publisher carries an impressive portfolio with some of your all-time favorite game heroes that will join the GOG.com catalog in coming weeks. Two game characters that are now a standard in their genres will grace our catalog on this Thursday with as we launch the publisher with style, bringing you two new games on one day.

What kind of hero will you be on that day? What are our two major releases?

GOG.com will be giving you clues about the new publisher right here on our forums, hints about one of the two heroes you’ll see on Thursday via and clues about the other hero on [url=http://www.facebook.com/gogcom]Facebook.
Hero 2: Will you be the kind of hero that was friends with a rabbit?

Alice???

But EA is already on GOG...
As long as these 3D games have been tested on a variety of new machines and work well. Since these wouldn't use DosBox (correct?), that presumably leaves more room for problems to arise. And yes, I'm basing most of this upon Dungeon Keeper 2 problems of which people have spoken. (That still haunts me. ;) So just make sure people have little to get upset about, and of course thanks for releasing new classics!

Okay, this one's tricky. Garrett and a rabbit? I'm drawing a blank here. Haven't they mixed up their Hero 1 and Hero 2?

keeveek: Great picture. Now I'm 140% sure ;)

ps. i doubt we should be expecting Final Fantsy. Reeeeallly doubt that.
I was ahead both of you. ;)

I am excited for Thursday. I would love nothing more than to slip around in the shadows once more as the master thief himself... We'll see what the announcement brings!
well, damn. are we back to LucasArts?!?
"Hero 2: Will you be the kind of hero that was friends with a rabbit?"

Hitman had a friend rabbit.
Eidos or Lucasarts? Yes, please.

Maybe a reference to bunny hopping in Thief?

hm, LucasArts will finally be on GoG?
but then again, what about the hidden hero then? which LucasArts game that would be, if it's truly about them.
besides, it's not like Sam and Max is the only game where the main character is friends with a rabbit
> Hero 2: Will you be the kind of hero that was friends with a rabbit?

That is most assuredly "Sam and Max hit the road" by LucasArts!
So pretty much looks like Eidos with Thief and Hitman.

According to last tweet with that rabbit:

From ages five to seven, 47 was quiet and showed little social behavior, his only display of affection being toward a runaway laboratory rabbit he adopted, much to Ort-Meyer's displeasure. He first took in the rabbit on August 21, 1970 and it died on May 2, 1972. In Ort-Meyer's journal, he observes that 47 is crying, and he's never seen one of his clones do so before.
3-4 game characters fit the shoes
Garett (Thief series) (Eidos)
Sam Fisher (Splinter Cell) (Ubisoft)
Altair/Ezio (Assassin's Creed) (Ubisoft)
Solid Snake (MGS) (Konami/Microsoft)

We already have Ubisoft ... Konami/Microsoft are doubtly the publisher...
so the normal thing is to expect Eidos/Square Enix... that means a lot:
Deus Ex,Hitman,Tomb Rider,Thief,Kain and a lot more just from Eidos part....

I really hope this is the case :)
