Primal ninja'ed me on the denial explanation.

I pounced on it at first because I thought it was weird, then when the explanation finally presented itself, I acknowledged it although stating I was still unhappy about it, and moved on. Or tried to. It got weirder when GameRager stuck his nose in and, as I've already mentioned, defended flubbucket by anticipating his excuses rather than attacking my reasoning. I tried to let it alone in #209 but SOMEONE is still harping on about it.

avatar
Vitek: So just tell me, HOW, I started to form bandwagon? By voting someone?
Good point. Rager's explanation only makes sense to him because he's already decided you have "supporters" or "followers".

avatar
Vitek: Comment allez-vous, NotFrenchYet? (Oh, my french is brilliant. :-))
Plutôt bien, merci. (I know where flubb's avatar is from!)

avatar
GameRager: Nope......only you/Vitek are on my list so far, iirc(for both voting for Rob & also vocally/repeatedly trying to shift the focus off of Vitek after he started getting votes/came close to being lynched).
... So... you suspect me for pointing out the flaws with the case for Vitek, and for persuing my own lines of enquiry? I explained the reasons I felt uncomfortable with it whilst pursuing other people (#188, developed in #193, and #213). Why does this make me suspicious?

And I've just noticed that you started with this idea of "distracting everyone" after I pointed out (in #232) that you and JMich seemed to have adopted exactly the same strategy.

One more!
avatar
GameRager: He voted for you because he had a strong reason for doing so.....I did as well(for reasons I stated earlier), and so I followed suit. NFY/etc started to paint us as suspects because we voted for you and then Red_Baron voted for Rob.
Could you do me a favour and quote the post where I "paint you as a suspect" because you're voting for Vitek? Because that strikes me as a blatant fabrication. I challenge you to prove me wrong.

Screw it, I'm putting my money where my mouth is.
Unvote Robbeasy
Vote GameRager

Happy to lynch Robb unless something incredible happens, but at this point I'm voting with conscience. And at this point, my conscience wants to strangle GameRager. ;D (No hard feelings!)

Not sure it counts as being ninja'd when there's 19 hours in between. ;P
avatar
JMich: Switch town and mafia, and you have my line of thinking. You say that they should use the usual terms, I say we should use the game's terms. Why is your terminology the correct one?
It is not correct one and I never claimed it to be. As well as yours is not the correct one as well. Mine was one suggestion I had and you for some reason cling to it.

avatar
JMich: Especially since he made it intentionally confusing. We already have one person trying to confuse us, why do you wish to confuse us even more?
Seriously? You would rather stick to confusing terminology than to create with better one?

Btw. Are you aware we (as whole) are not using the official terminology now? Are you OK with it?

avatar
JMich: I find that you follow it correctly.
Me: "Look guys, let's assume that down is where our feet point to".
Vitek: "Ok, we all know that down is where the carpet is at, so that will be down for me."
Me: "Eh, we are in a zero gravity environment, so the usual rules don't apply."
Vitek: "I don't care, that's how it usually is, that's how we should do it."
Skewed example. Maybe if it was reversed gravity, not zero. If it was zero gravity as in your example, terms proposed by you would make even less sense, than my first suggestion. ;-)

And what about that "it wasn't because I wanted to use different terms, but because I wanted to change terms", still not follow the difference? You omitted to explain that?

avatar
JMich: I'll just leave this here
avatar
Vitek: I think that since game 3 I haven't read complete OP. And I am yet to read a lot of lynchscenes across various games.
avatar
JMich:
So? What's the point?

avatar
JMich: Also, since you seem to have taken the time to do the statistics, may I ask the numbers for the first lynch? Were the scums happy to hammer then, or not? Because I don't think there have been 27 games in this forum, yet you do mention 27 lynches.
27 lynches are all town lynches outside game-ending ones.
As for town lynches, in 14 games we had 10 (in 3 games there was no majority achieved and G12 day 1 was ended by modkill). Out of the 10, G6 had no mafia, so I left it out. In the rest of them, there were 3 hammers by mafia, 2 for town and 1 for nolynch in G1. Rest of lynches were hammered made by town.
avatar
Vitek: Seriously? You would rather stick to confusing terminology than to create with better one?

Btw. Are you aware we (as whole) are not using the official terminology now? Are you OK with it?
As far as I'm aware, we are currently using scum/thug to point at the informed minority. We are not using the game's terminology (mafia for uninformed majorirty, town(?) for informed minority), nor are we using your suggested one (town for uninformed majority, mafia for informed minority).
So no, I don't have a problem with proposing a better terminology, I have a problem with the terminology you suggested.

Black is white, and white is black. You suggest black is black and white is white, while the game's rules claim otherwise. If you had suggested circle is black and square is white, then I wouldn't accuse you of trying to spread confusion. Does this make sense?

avatar
Vitek: So? What's the point?
You claim to read the OP, while having mentioned before that you didn't. Just pointing inconsistencies.

You still manage to confuse me worse than Joe. Let me see if I got it correctly:
Day 1 lynches.
2 towns were lynched, hammered by mafia.
1 nolynch, hammered by mafia.
6 towns were hammered by town.

Did I get the statistics correctly?

JoeSapphire: "Oh yeah, and the stuff's comin along nice like. Won't be long 'til we're ready to go. You get what I'm sayin?"
"I'm tryin to tell you that tonight's deadline is the 30th March. Capisce?"
Close your bold tags! Internet Explorer (not on my own computer) is too feeble to cope and has bolded the rest of the page.

Use a better IE...
Will do it for you though.

NOT ON MY OWN COMPUTER :P

Also that doesn't work, Joe needs to fix it.

Tell them to upgrade :P
Also, let me try opening and closing the bold tags, previously I only closed them. Tell me if this fixed it (from here onwards at least).
Avatar is Norman Bates.

Quiet kid...good to his mother.

I'm really not sure why we are exhausting this topic of terms. We are all smart enough to make sense of the difference here and realize up is down/black is white. If someone is going to jump on someone for using the "wrong" terms, it should be seen as an obvoius ploy.

My earlier comment regarding game mechanics it still rolling around in the vast expanse of my head. There has to be more spin to this game other than mafia is town. We have been unable to secure any sort of a consensus, which gives me a feeling there may not be a whole scum team yet. Red_Baron commented this was not likely, and he may be right.

I'm just suspicious of our host.

Your previous post did actually fix it it turns out, but I could only see that once I'd posted.

Also they can't use a more recent version of IE, not until they upgrade from XP. It's an IT suite computer and you know how resistant businesses tend to be to change.
I know how resistant America is to change...

Complete. And I still don't see any relevancy to anything.

Yup, that's correct.

Enlighten me then. Assume I'm a complete idiot. Use single (or double) syllabe words, and tell me what you are suggesting, in words I'll be able to show my 8-year old niece and laugh at me for being to thick to understand.

Can't use single-syllabe words only. :-(
I am suggesting we should focus on things that actually mean something.

Use bigger words then. Just assume you are explaining it to an idiot, since I still can't see what you are trying to say, and your responses on post 297 don't help me at all. So it is possible that I am an idiot.
