I finally managed to finish Serious Sam II (around 11h of play).

Let's say it plainly: I certainly won't play it again, ever. But I know I will play Serious Sam and SS:SE again and again, because those games ARE fun (either in original or remasterized versions).

SSII is not a BAD game in itself, it has its share of frantic shooting, but the "humor" ruins it all, not even mentioning the "lives" system.

And so far, SS3, which i bought on sale on Steam, is not going in the right direction...

Austrobogulator: Is there any way that we can turn this thread into some kind of wiki? I don't blame Lukas for not keeping it up, it's definitely a lot of stuff to keep track of. Anyway, I think it would be easier if we had some way to collect our lists into one location (much like the gogwiki).

Also, if we had a database, we could easily generate various bits of info, such as a list of this year's most commonly completed games.
Just wanted to bump this so it doesn't vanish unnoticed between the other posts. It doesn't look like Lukasz will be able to keep the thread up-to-date (and that's understandable enough), so a do-it-yourself kind of list seems like a good idea to me. Sadly I have don't have the knowhow to initiate anything like that, but it would be cool to have a wiki, or how about a database like this (bln set it up when the wishlist was still hidden).

The latter would have the (dis-?) advantage that it would be anonymous, listing only games finished by community members for anyone interested without displaying a public profile of people's gaming habits. And it would allow for a little more info in case anyone didn't know the games yet (genre, year) and it would show for each game how many GOG members finished it this year etc. And anyone could easily add their own games themselves or "vote" on games that already on the list whenever they've finished them.

Rogue Trooper. The game was on sale, I had enough blue coins to buy it, and someone here pointed out that it was a vastly underrated game, so I decided to give it a try. And I have to say, the game was a lot better than i expected it to be.

Serious Sam: The Second Encounter

Even on Normal this game was very tough, especially the final battle (of course.) Overall, I liked it much more than TFE, even though I played the HD version of TFE, and classic version of TSE.
