melacio: It is sad but without games such as the ones that I have that Gog may only be a minority platform games
It's different audiences, if you want bigger AAA titles then you go to Steam but if you want older games (plus indie titles) you have gog, considering that gog would have to lose their "no drm" stance so that the big companies release their games here i would say that it would a terrible business decision since it would only make them lose their loyal customers. Did you see what happened when gog changed the regional pricing? Let's just say that they stir up a hornet's nest...

snowkatt: 2k and deep silver have no contract with gog
avatar
stg83: They do have a contract with GOG actually.

and i even have sacred 2

melacio: Why Gog there are no games like call of duty , evolve ,shadow of mordors, ryse or dead island?

don't want anyone offended , i like Gog but i wonder if some day come this type of games to Gog
Games come to GOG when there is a mutual interest between the publisher/developer of the game and GOG.com to distribute it and they've been in communication with each other to try to make a deal. Most publishers out there are still not too comfortable with releasing their games DRM-free at all, which means distributing their games on GOG.com is not something they're willing to do. None of the games you mentioned are available DRM-free anywhere however if the publisher was interested in distributing them DRM-free on GOG I'm sure that GOG would be nothing but thrilled to welcome them here.

None of those companies are DRM-free friendly however, but quite the opposite so I would not expect to see any such games on GOG any time in the near future unfortunately.

Saberwolf_Prime: Sadly, I don't think Microsoft or Sega have business with GOG (yet) either.

Though I'm interested in some of the more seasoned games in their respective libraries.
(like Freelancer or Phantasy Star IV).

snowkatt: they dont
sadly in sega's case
because they do offer their megadrive games drm free on dot emu so whats stopping them from getting in contact with gog ?
Too busy driving themselves to chapter 11. On the plus side in two or three years whomever buys their IP may well be smarter than they are.
Hear me folks ! This is the new complain from here on : the "why no steam keys !" will fade out, replaced bit by bit by the trendy "why no COD, battlefield, GTA !"

Popularity = AAA (or sh*t games but that's just me... :) )

Well it's a far better complaint in comparison. ;)

snowkatt: and personally i can do without call of duty thanks
You maybe but they have a decent number of votes, and I'd probably buy the first two again (on sale) if they came here:

thats nice
im sure activision wont care though
GoG officially kicked one of the three core principles into the trash and introduced regional pricing here to get such games, but they never came because DRM is the main problem with those.

I wouldn't want those anyway, they're mostly inferior to the top notch indie games.

Oh, that made me laugh!
Many indie games that I have played have soul.

Look what happened to PopCap games. Plants Vs Zombies was great, but after EA got their hands on them PVZ2 is smartphone and tablet exclusive with micro-transactions.
PVZ:Garden Warfare is an online shooter with always online DRM that is so bad you can't even change the volume without internet connection. Give it another year or two, when the servers shut down and all those discs will be nice $40 coasters.
Why no Evolve?!

We have Evolva! That's one letter! Big fucking difference! :P
Market is flooded with too much of those same games marketed towards the young crowd and is killing the lack of innovating/creating new games. ww2 needs to come back modern fps games need to stop and we need RTS BACK real bad...

I would rather see the older versions of these franchises come here like the old cod games ww2 ones and so on in what I said. but god I can do without the new stuff.

while i agree with most of what you said ww 2 does NOT need to come back its been mined enough already

id rather have a game set in the first world war
the korean war
or the vietnam war

if any conflict is under represented in gaming its the vietnam war and it would make for a very interesting setting
i can only think of 3 maybe 4 games set in vietnam
and one of them is nes rambo

see I would love that but no #$#@$ dev or company can put out anything good like that anymore.maybe battlefield Vietnam was amazing back in the day but for story wise it's a tough one. I hope we get something very good one day based on that war.
