Hi all survivors, for a long time the game had an uncomfortable energy and wiring system. I've been getting a lot of feedback and I've finally fixed the situation!

I'll start with the most important thing right away, yes this is a change to the wiring and power connection system. Now every device has an In port and every energy generator has an Out port. This greatly simplifies the use of the Wiring tool. Also now you can disconnect a wire by clicking on it, there is no need to find which device or port it is connected to. Also, a lot of people have said that the power is going out too quickly. I have decided that until new power sources are added, I will reduce the power loss of all devices. Many wiring bugs were fixed and new ones were traditionally added :)

The reworking of the power system allows me to easily add new power sources in the future. I get a lot of feedback with your ideas and I enjoy exploring and thinking of ways to implement them!

The Journal has also been updated to include tutorials on some aspects of the game, such as the description of how power works.

Now let's go around the other changes:
The second important part of the update, is to add location scale optimization. You may have noticed the shaking of hands or any objects when you are a very far away from the starting point. This critical point was fixed without breaking the optimization, and in the future I will be able to expand the gameplay level and add more variety!

For fans of dynamic gameplay, an FOV setting has been added (for me, the game has a new twist).

I think let's get back to the usual list of fixes and new features:

Energy fix - 0.50x0297a

Hot fix energy usage. Due to a bug, energy consumption was not reduced in the last update. In this patch I fixed this and now the generator and batteries are working longer.

Misc.

• Fixed the "Reset all to default" button in the distribution tab not resetting all to default.
• Added and fixed some Update 4 translations.
• The distribution tab now properly includes Breeding Pod, Engine, and Irrigation Tower.
• Goods in factory buildings no longer disturb the fill rate in the distribution tab.
• Buildings that are not connected to districts no longer display the “Vacant” status.
• District Crossing no longer has one half blocked from use when the other half is not connected to a district.
• Made several minor optimizations.
• Bots no longer use benches. :(
• Wandering beavers, for example at the start of the game, are now less scared of the grim future and do not aggressively hug each on the same tile.

Modding

• The Meshy documentation now features a Timberborn-specific section. If you’re a modder, check it out.

• It is now also easier to specify a new faction thanks to the new BotId and SoundId fields added to the faction specification.

Bug fixes

• Fixed farmers sometimes getting stuck while harvesting the last plant in a field.
• Deleting settlements no longer causes a crash in certain scenarios.
• Deleting District Center no longer triggers a crash in Settlement Panel.
• Closing the Entity Panel with the tooltip displayed over the dropdown no longer results in a crash.
• Renaming a beaver no longer provokes the Settlement Panel to crash.
• Buildings highlighted in the tutorial no longer stay highlighted if clicked at the wrong time.
• Fixed the deconstruction tooltip that wouldn’t scale correctly.

Equip *TWO* Sidearms!

Many folks (including Splat himself!) have requested the ability to equip two sidearms. I finally got around to make it happen! But God it was some messy code :) Now you can equip two sidearms, and toggle between them by holding down [1] key. For example, you can equip two melee weapons, one for unarmored ghouls, and one for armored ghouls and trees, etc.

Also, other changes included in 1.69 major update:

1. If you own the Dead Zone DLC, you can get access to the motorcycle in Normal Mode game as well. It's right outside the Zernaskaya village.

2. 4 gauge shotgun rounds now have more armor-piercing quality

3. You can now use SHIFT+Click to move items from backpack into special containers such as keychain, medkit, and the ingredient jar.

4. Placed two arrows at the player house in Ravenwood Valleys next to the boat, because there are actually two portals there, one taking you across the river and one to Lake Kraken

5. Placed more AP ammo in the map for Nightmare/Dead Zone modes

6. Fixed a bug where a random invasion might cause your food order customer to die, and yet the order is still active

7. Added a console cheat command to add skill points

8. Added a button at the "Save Game is Corrupted" error page to return to main menu

9. Added a "RT" icon for Right-Trigger next to nametags to show controller players that pressing RT is the way to interact with it

10. Fixed a bug where the motorcycle might take you to locked locations

11. Fixed a bug where the motorcycle travel destinations show "Unknown" for Ravenwood
