Changelog for Update Infrastructure II - v114r3 (24 January 2019)
New Map Generation

We've reworked map generation algorithm. Now distinct landmasses will be farther apart (no more landmasses separated by just 4 tiles). Additionally maps have a chance to spawn with shallow water rivers. Map island shapes should in general be more interesting. All landmasses are guaranteed to be above a certain tile count and wolves also won’t spawn on small landmasses. Finally, maps got a bit bigger! The number of build-able tiles increased by 20-30% per map size.

Wooden Gates

These will match up better with wooden walls, and are cheaper than stone gates.

Stone Bridges

These bridges fit together with stone roads and provide the same movement bonus. They are impassable by ship so be careful you don’t box in your transport ships. Viking ships can't pass through them or destroy them.

Fire Brigade

You can augment the automatic volunteer peasant firefighters with actual firefighters who hang out at the Fire Brigade building until needed. These professional firefighters run very quickly and put out fires much quicker than normal peasants. With the right Fire Brigade placement, you’ll now be able to put out fires that would have destroyed buildings when the peasant volunteers were too far away to arrive in time.

Twitch Integration

If you'd like, you can turn on streamer mode in the settings. A twitch icon will appear on the side of the screen, enter your username there, start streaming and viewers can vote on what befalls your kingdom: bonuses, disasters, and other events!

Tax Tweaks

The tax rate used to go from 1 to 3. Now it can do half increments (so 0.5, 1, 1.5, etc). As a stylistic choice we’ve changed the display to show a percentage so if you had a tax rate set at 3, it’ll now show as 30%, but all the internal math will remain the same. This will allow you finer grain control over taxation vs. your kingdom’s happiness.

Windmill Bonus Tweak

Windmill bonuses no longer stack with adjacent windmills and instead each does a flat +3 per tile. It turns out with overlapping bonuses a really strange formation of farms and windmills is optimal (long rows of windmills with a row of farms in between). We wanted to make it so you don't have pack windmills in a line to get optimal food output.

Other Improvements/Fixes

For older mac users who weren’t able to see trees, you can now turn on ‘Mac Compatibility Mode’ in the settings to address that.
Optimization pass
Dragons are less punishing in terms of how many people they kill (especially large dragons)
Stockpiles are treated as stone roads regarding peasant walk speed
Added dirt under the stone roads so they match up with regular roads/gardens better
Baker bakes faster (10s per bread from 15s)
Right click now also deselects tower range UI
Previously viking ships would phase through drawbridges, now the drawbridges go up when any ship comes through
Display charcoal maker yearly output
Reduced costs on castle blocks
Tweak castle tower ballista/archer ranges
Reservoirs can be built anywhere (ignores road territory)
Fix issue where vikings spawned in creative mode wouldn’t always leave on their ships properly
Fix mason not repairing walls
Fix case where peasants could end up in deep water
Fix case where doctors could end up in deep water/floating in air
Fix garden not receiving adjaceny bonuses if under aqueduct
Fix armies not able to stand in town squares
Fix not being able to build castle blocks on top of a gate that had a garden underneath

They've consolidated all the stories and texts into one big .pdf called the Tome of the Balance. They released an almost finalized copy to Kickstarter backers around Christmas and asked for everyone to submit any spelling/grammar mistakes they find. They said they'd release the finalized copy "after the holidays", but we're still waiting. If you're a Kickstarter or slacker backer who backed at a high enough tier to receive it, check your Humble Bundle account. Circle Empires

#### Update 1.2.9 (24 January 2019)

##### Balance changes

* Adjusted the way circles grow in difficulty. The circles right next to your starting circle area are easier to capture, especially on high difficulties. Circles that are further away have guardians that are a bit stronger.
* Unlocked +1 difficulty level from the start for all game modes as some players were suggesting that they played on the hardest available difficulty and it was a walk in the park.
* Knight price changed from 100 food & 150 gold to 180 food & 40 gold. Hp increased from 480 to 500.
* Level 3 farm: available food amount increased from 600 to 800.
* Sunken Ruins (frog spawner) strength rating increased from 200 to 350.
* Level 1 farms available food amount increased from 180 to 220. Previously, some players felt like they were losing resources because the cost is 200 wood and you got 180 food out of it. This caused a puzzling situation where people were struggling with a lack of food but were reluctant to make farms. This puzzle is now more simple, you get more out of it in addition to converting wood to food.
* Made the starting circle available food amount less random. You now always have 2 blueberry bushes for a total of 600 food, previously it was possible to have 0-2.
* Buildings that have an attack and spawn creatures (e.g. barracks) no longer gain experience from combat. They get experience from spawning waves of creatures which is a more predictable behaviour. Before that, it was possible that e.g barracks accidentally finished off your dragon and gained a level, which could turn the battle around very unexpectedly.
* Hammerman and Giant Maul Warrior (Apex Monsters DLC only) have more clear bonus damage vs armor. E.g. +50% damage vs armored targets. This also means that heavily armored units take less extra damage than before.

##### Fixes

* Updated the Unity engine to latest version which fixes various issues (including Linux input glitch).
* Fixed an issue that caused enemies to attack you immediately after loading a save game. Due to that, old save games are no longer functional unfortunately.
* Fixed an issue with a legacy update system popping up.
* Fixed an issue where the attack cursor was the default cursor. Now it's a sword again.
* Added an option to delete save games.
* Fixed one of the issues that caused workers to go into unintended circles to work there (issue introduced in last patch)
Orphan

#### Mac OSX and Ubuntu now supported! (24 January 2019)

The 2D sci-fi indie platformer Orphan has now added support for Mac OSX and
Ubuntu.

Orphan features a young boy who finds he is the sole remaining survivor of an
alien apocalypse. The silhouette-styled graphics draw comparisons to Limbo,
but Orphan is a metroidvania featuring plenty of weapon-play and giant boss
battles.

Orphan was developed by the one-man studio Windy Hill in Tennessee and
published by 2Dimensions, developers of animation software including Nima and
Flare.

#### Update 0.1353 (23 January 2019)

##### Bug fixes

* Fixed an issue crashing Queen of the Hill on certain hardware setups under certain circumstances. This issue was caused by ramps being made pass through-able when the tide rose on 2.1 and 2.2. This would occasionally cause ants that were pathing on them to fall and potentially re-path in a near infinite loop. This bug has been hard to replicate and hence hard to fix but special thanks to our community for helping us locate this one. Due to this we have made changes to how this works.
* Fixed issues with creatures picking up other creatures (Interpolation should work vertically, creatures should correctly stick to the mouth and animation should play correctly during pickup)
* Fixed an issue in Freeplay telling the player waves would spawn consecutively after 8 minutes when it should have been 12
* Fixed a message telling the player waves would come every 5 minutes when in reality it is 6 (if you include the timer countdown)
* Clicking the door in the lab no longer closes the game
* Fixed an issue in Freeplay where the warning timer was not using the same calculation as the wave timer
* All values in ant improvements are now rounded to 2 decimal places
* Freeplay wave timer info now accurately represents the time between wave spawns and not the time from one wave spawning to the start of the next timer starting (13m setup 6m between)
* Fixed some issues with the size of woodworm food items
* Key presses that are meant to switch from above to below ground have been disabled in photo mode to prevent strange lighting changes
* Fixed an issue where food could get stuck on the surface in your ant tunnel
* Notification about the Gate mission 1 will no longer appear after you have completed it
* Fixed an issue shrinking the areas ant could appear on the surface from the nest area
* In-game UI elements are no longer shown in photo mode (Markers, chamber info ect)
* Force player out of photo mode and prevent them entering it when victory of defeat is happening

##### Changes / Improvements

* Creatures will no longer pass though ramps as the tide rises falling into the water. Instead any ants assigned to markers touched by the water will be immediately sent home when the marker is dismissed.
* Beach tiger beetle larvae have been given high slow resist
* On Queen of the Hill Challenge Mode in Easy, Normal and Hard beach tiger beetle larvae will spawn more often and increase the rate of spawns each day
* Dead creature harvest locations and pickup locations have been more centralised, meaning ants should no longer carry woodworms within their bodies (at least less often) and harvesting should be from a more logical point of the dead creature

##### NEW FEATURES

Advanced difficulty options (for all game modes): modify A TON of parameters
to customize your playthrough. See full list here:

* Modify how the states increase/lower each time. You could for example play a game where the characters don’t get any Fatigue at all, but they get twice the amount of Injury and Disease.
* Modify how the states impact the skills: you could make it so the characters’ states don’t lower the character skills, of have twice the impact.
* Modify the random value affected to Acquired skills at generation: choose 0 to have less random, 100 to have crazy numbers.
* Modify the number of bad starting Traits: you could start a game with 0 random starting Traits, making it fairer to every character.
* Modify skills and general XP bonuses. You could make a game with skills that don’t evolve at all on each use, but you get twice the general XP, making it a game around level ups!
* Modify the number of Level Up Traits you get to choose from each level-up. If the random factor of level-ups annoys you, you could set it up to 100 and get the choice to customize your character freely.
* Change the resources gains, the crafting speed, the exploration speed.
* Change how fast camp stations lose condition, and how fast Natural Resources lower and regenerate.
* Remove the chance to have special Traits when using camp stations, or double the chance to get one, and change the value of “Depression Crits”.
* Make the diseases more or less frequent, and make them harder or easier to heal.
* Change the chances that each character will get Dehydrated each night (I personally advise setting it to 100% chances), and change the way water rationing works (yes, you can revert to the initial values that were a bit harsher than now)
* Adjust the chances of food rotting overnight. You can make everything un-perishable ^^
* For Heodening mode only: Modify the number of days you have to wait between Tributes, and the difficulty of Tributes amount asked.
* Change the animosity gains. You could make an endless game by removing them completely.
* The chances of getting fights. If you don’t like our battle system (and it makes us sad), you can remove the battles! (not recommended: battles are an important way to get loot!)
* Give you a boost of chance to succeed skillchecks… You know, those nasty 3-in-a-row skillchecks you have to succeed in Rune challenges? ;)
* Some other parameters for Heodening mode: the delay between map resets, and the pace at which the battles will increase in difficulty.
* And finally, one set of options that I’m particularly proud of: you can completely modify the probabilities each weather has to appear, depending of the current weather… Very cool! You could make an island where it constantly rains, or where there are no storms, etc… You’re a real god now!

Intelligence skill reworked: now modifies skills XP gains, instead of doing…
nothing.Added stats screen in character sheet.

##### FIXES

* Fixed a nasty bug which prevented Angelico’s main event chain to trigger.

##### BALANCING

* Level cap increased from 30 to 99 for all game modes (Endless AND Story)
* Tavern changed so that relax mode is less OP:
* Lowered depression cured in relax mode by 5.
* Relax mode has now 10% chances to give Bored trait and 10% chances to give Demotivated trait.

HypersomniacLive: What purpose does facebook integration serve?
I'm not entirely certain, but in addition to being an adventure game, it's also a choice & consequence game like the Telltale games and Life is Strange, so maybe Facebook integration is for sharing your choices.
