moonshineshadow: Too bad I can't turn the games you can get for XP into giftcodes. Zero interest in them so they'll just sit there until the offer is over same as last sale.
Redeem those games anyway. That way if they're given for free again in the future at least you'll have a key to be generous with.
... another one?

EDIT: ok. Free NWN is seriously awesome ;) ... but im still broke :D

fmoura: It sure must take a special kind of retard to argue—and believe—that sales and low prices are bad for the consumer.
They are bad if they result in a monopoly down the road. I believe there are studies in economics theory about this but it's not my area of expertise and I'm too lazy to google that for you.

DeMignon: Anyone knows how the Monstrous Fall Sale bonus XP works?
avatar
vanchann: Maybe you mean Winter, but it doesn't really matter. ....
Nope, I mean bonus XP from Monstrous Fall Sale. I started with some extra XP today and the site said it's a bonus because of the fall sale.

Oh. Well that explains why I had 3000 XP at the start of the sale.

That EA bundle is tempting, but I still HATE the fact they don't want to give us regional pricing on their older catalog. Booooooooooo!

I'd link you that page "let me google that for you" where a gif automatically enters the relevant search terms, but I'm too lazy for that too.

They explain it near the bottom of the FAQ:

WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH THE XP BOOST FROM THE MONSTROUS FALL SALE?

The XP you collected during our Monstrous Fall Sale will give you a nice XP boost to use in The Monstrous Winter Sale. Specifically: those who collected up to 5000 XP get a 500 XP boost. Those who collected up to 15000 XP get a 1000 XP boost. Those who collected more than 15000 XP get a 3000 XP boost.

Another sale so soon?

exosquadron: Anyone else having trouble claiming Neverwinter Nights? Every time I select it, it kicks me to the store page. :/

nepundo: If you mean you clicked the "get it free" button in the main page and nothing happened, yes, we had this problem already. If you wait a few hours, as Thiev (the blue) told us, the game should appear in your library. At least it did in my case after a couple of hours.

Edit: here, look, you're not alone :)
Just gave it another try and it went through! :)
"Winter Sale" which ends 10 days before Winter.

Ah, I see! I've overlooked the little link "See the FAQ" on the XP status page, which expands the list.
Thanks for pointing me there!

Nope. If I have a game I feel like I need to play it (might be silly but that's how it is), so I'm not adding stuff I don't want to have. Made that mistake some time ago and finally had support remove those freebies.
What is the NWN CD key changer update and why isn't there a download for it? :o

I see. That's a pity. I'm glad my brain doesn't force me to feel "guilty" for not playing games I don't like*, because I just redeemed Shadow Warrior Redux even tho I'd give it away in a heartbeat.

* - Actually, I technically feel like I should play those games, but I'm able to effortlessly push them down in the backlog. Yes, the infinite backlog. So I'll be forced to play them when there are no other games I like. I could live my entire lifetime twice just pushing them to the bottom of the pile of my currently owned unplayed games

Yeah, why can't it be simpler? There should be a key on my keyboard to do just that. Then I'd just have to wait for the cat to step on it.

1 week ago I bought the Witcher 3 GOTY full price, on the black friday sale, now you have it 50% off on another sale... i'm confused.
By the way, I'm happy to give you money for a great product, but two different sales, with different offers, separated for a few days, it's a bit weird, I could have bought 2 games instead of one with that money :/
