How is that Gratuitous Space Battles 2 game? Does it have a Skirmish/Random mode?

IronArcturus: How is that Gratuitous Space Battles 2 game? Does it have a Skirmish/Random mode?
I watched a few gameplays and read reviews. It looks like 2d battle strategy game, where you equip your ships and create/learn tactics, can even design ships from parts. However, it allows only limited weapon slots and has ships have pre-programmed advantages/weaknesses that limits how game can be played out.

I recommend FTL(tactics) or SPAZ(shooting) or KSP(building) if you are into battleships. All of these have virtually unlimited replay value. I even created a SPAZ mod that extensively lifts weapon limits on ships and makes them about equal. Passed on GSB2, but its just me.

Finally got the spreadsheet updated after GoG dropped 10 new bundles today for the finale...

Enjoy!

On the Winter Sale tab...
Yellow = added the day of the FInale
Red = deals which ended early (including those planned to stop like releases and the Civ bundle but also the mysterious one-day sales)
Does anyone know if any of the games on sale are leaving GOG? (Like Fallout did for a while, for instance)

Adding to that, is there a forum or list where GOG or users make notices that games are going to be disappearing soon? In previous sales I sometimes would see the little "leaving soon" banner pop up when you moved your mouse over the game on the sale page and I always wished there was a clear list of what was leaving before it happened so I could plan.

With utter certainty? No. We can only speculate what might be removed for whatever reason.

In cases where they can, GOG will create a separate thread to announce that a game will be leaving the catalog (like they did with Duke Nukem and Ceville). Other times, they will create a thread after a game has been removed from the catalog (Descent) and other times, it will be users who will notice the missing game in question (Superfrog). There is not an official forum/thread for that and while there was an attempt at a user-made one, there wasn't much success with it (and it leaned more on speculating instead of confirming).

The "leaving soon" banner was referring to the games leaving the sale, not the catalog. As for an official list, don't hold your breath because GOG isn't always allowed to mention that a game is about to be removed.

Smannesman: It feels like GOG sales just keep getting worse.
I feel that way too - although I have been here for such a long time that most of the things on my wishlist are newer games, which go on deep discounts less frequently.

I did get all the freebies from this sale, but I'm quite underwhelmed nevertheless.
Where are the newest bundles?

They were added down the page under more bundles.

Aren't there 11 bundles which have been added?

See my rant here. :) Good to see I'm not alone with it and maybe GOG listens when enough people complain.

Or when profits are down because no one can find the new sales?
avatar
HypersomniacLive: Which ones would that be? Because I see no such discount on any of them.
avatar
eiii: You only reach the 90 or 95% discounts when you buy the bundle (or own at least 10 of the games).

95% discount:

This one has its discount screwed up for me. The price actually increases from $4.99 to $9.99 when I check enough games to qualify for the extra discount.
Has anyone tried that Guild of Dungeoneering game? Does it have a windowed mode?

Same here. You must add one more game and price then gets right discount.
