Mmorpg crowd likes to swap 's" with "z" or just add "z" to abbreviations like omg(zzz!), or "look how I critz!" out of some reason. I don't know why.

Congrats to everyone who nabbed a D&D bundle. I've got all. The games already and if you haven't played them you're in for a real treat.

Gratz. Typical shortening for "congratulations" (Congratulations->Grats->Gratz).
It's typical "733t" jargon used in MMORPGs.

It still doesn't make any sense. I thought "gratulation" isn't a real word in English (it kind of is in German).

It doesn't have to. It's subculture. Maybe someone who follows it or studies it would be able to explain it. It could as well be effected by lolcats ;)

People from US, just like in any other place in the world, especially youngsters, often use shortened versions of words.
It's even more prominent in some online communities, especially MMORPG or FPS gamers.
If you are surprised about such use of abbreviations, you better never see a conversation in a Counterstrike forum.

My most terrible ex-gf was an avid "League of Legends" player and made me play it with her once. I didn't understand a single word she wrote to me there (while sitting right beside me) and she thought I was stupid because none of it did make any sense to me. This relationship didn't last very long (thank heavens for that!).

The payment screen kept refusing my purchase for the D&D bundle. So frustrating. Same card and everything since the start. Grrrr
