Did someone want Legend of Grimrock 2? I've got a key for it, maybe a trade could be made?

XYCat: nothing new today?

mrkgnao: No. Apparently the entire sale was 127 games/bundles. Less than 10% of the catalogue is not much of a sale.
This is the only disappointing aspect of the sale to me. Once those first 100 games went by, the rest of the sale wasn't as exciting. But overall I got some great games, so I'm not really complaining. :-)
I'm done then. Got all the games I wanted - a good haul, got rid of a few wishes off my list, so it's shorter now.
Longer backlog, but that's fine. More decisions and choice. :D
Tracker thread is so much slower than last sale. I remember reloading and there would be nearly a page full of new posts every couple minutes.

There's not much to track anymore, as there are no more new games.
This sale should really be called: "The Same Games Over and Over Again Sale!"

Seriously, GOG has become boring. Why should anyone even bother to pay attention to this sale anymore? A VERY small selection of their catalogue on sale, and repeated ad nauseam.

The main reason for this is probably the short time you have to post at all and of course the problems in getting games you could gift away.

I think I read a post here stating that the number of games in the sale is nearly the same as last year.

Yep, the no-gifting-unless-you-own-it policy definitely kept my purchases down.

To be honest, there were more games on sale, don't forget about the bundles of games which are being sold separately outside the Insomnia Sale:

Anno Pack (4 games)
Broken Sword Pack (5 games)
D&D Enhanced Pack (3 games)
Kyrandia Pack (3 games)
Metro Pack (2 games)
Monkey Island Pack (2 games)
Walking Dead Pack (3 games)

So that's additional 15 games which gives us total of 142 games on sale.

When a game is up on sale you can go to the game page and add it to your cart, you will have the option to gift it then. I did at least a dozen gifts like that.

As you can still see in your reply, my post read "127 games/bundles".
Which is why I said "less than 10% of the catalogue" (142/1447) and not "less than 9% of the catalogue" (127/1447).

I'm not sure what you mean by short time to post?

That's not the reason then. Unless people just don't realize they can gift stuff.

Often that would have meant the game was gone by the time I got through the extra clicks it takes to get there, since you can't go directly to the game page by clicking on the sale banner image.

Ya... That's weird. I was just experimenting and the two checkout pages look the same, except for the gift option. Why would they do that, I wonder.

I meant that you don't have much time to write here if you want to make sure to not miss a game. So the thread is moving slower because of not so many entrys here.

Maybe because GOG don't want discounted items to be giftet but they did not want to change their complete checkout system just for the sale. So they made two checkout sites which do look the same but are not. Just a thought.
