I hated the original campaign (Dead Man's Switch), I absolutely LOVED the second campaign (Dragonfall), and I liked Dragonfall Director's Cut even more. If they keep progressing like this, Hong Kong is going to be a masterpiece. Backing.

I didn't particularly enjoy the original and what you say is the extreme version of what I hear everywhere. Story aside, what is the major improvement in your opinion ?

The story is the greatest improvement, but you also see improvements in quality of gameplay overall. The combat system and the encounters themselves are a bit more interesting and challenging, the skill system is much more useful in conversations, you get to make a lot more choices, your NPC companions have depth and side-quests, there's a much needed hub area, all areas are a bit larger than in the original (though not by much, I'm hoping for larger areas in HK) and so on and so on. It's like Dead Man's Switch was a bad demo of a great game, really. :)
Will have to check this out.

Maybe a little off topic, but would love to see a game made in Shadowrun's Denver or Chicago locations...

I personally loved Dead Man's Switch campaign very much. Serial killer in dystopian world using advanced technology and magic, all victims had surgery for organ transplantation. But then BLAST, as soon as I get to know that he gather all these organs for just that? Oh no, after that the plot turned in 180* with illogical twist, and another one started. I still don't get how they are connected, and why these organs were needed so much. It's just stupid!

They're not really connected. It just that the person who wanted the organs (for personal reasons) was an important member of the "world threat" plot. So it's basically two stories (three, even. The psycho killer, the family problems, and the world threat) colliding because of a common character.
But yeah, the second plot twist felt unnecessary.
Usually, in the last days of funding, you can see an increase in donations. So there is a big chance that they might reach the 1 million goal.
What if they don't reach it? What will they then spend the money in between stretchgoal on? It is something I have often wondered about Kickstarter campaigns.
How many days left? I can't check because at work and I will forget to do that once I get out.

I suppose that, if they don't reach it, they'll either use the money for the work on the main campaign or they'll keep it in reserve for other things, like the fulfillment of physical rewards for their backers. Either way, the extra money won't go to waste.

Yep... It's not as if developers can actually know ahead of time *exactly* how much a certain feature will cost to develop (things often take longer than expected in game development). It isn't an exact science, it's a lot of trial & error; sometimes things sound great on paper but when the developers actually create a prototype build they find that things just don't work or aren't enjoyable, so they have to scrap it and try a different approach. So it is always good for a developer to have "extra" money in their budget, because time is money.

This is why you see so many Kickstarters where developers get themselves into trouble with the feature creep caused by stretch goals where they underestimated how long things would take. (For example, Larian ended up not fulfilling about half of their stretch goals for Divinity Original Sin. as they found things like NPC schedules would create too many new bugs and issues to fix.)

However since this is now Harebrained Schemes third Shadowrun game, and they are using an improved version of the game engine they built, they probably have a more accurate estimate of how much certain features will cost to implement than developers who are creating everything from scratch. Which is why they aren't going crazy and promising every single requested feature, because they know as awesome as it would be to have things like a full fledged stealth system and Astral space, it would cost a lot to do it right.

I created a GOG wishlist entry. I think it is basically guaranteed the game will sell on GOG, but hey, it's fun to vote for things:

Reever: I can confirm that the only payment option now is paying with a credit card. And I also checked to see if the data would be saved - it was. So I wrote a message to their support. I mean, this is unacceptable. You can't have the option to not save your CC data but have it done anyway.

And now I'm an official backer.
Checked again today, still: only credit card...
Debit card works fine, too:P
