Very excited about this. Definitely going to toss it at least the $15 after I get home from work and band practice today!

comradegarry: I need to buy & see how good dragonfall is before even thinking about this new one :\

rampancy: As someone who loved games like the original BioWare Infinity Engine games and Spiderweb's Avernum/Avadon/Geneforge series, I really loved the original Shadowrun Returns. While I'm not sure if I'd place it in the same category as PS:T, I definitely got the same vibe from the SR's storytelling style.

I haven't had time to fully dive into Dragonfall, but from my short time with it, it's even better than the original. It's pretty much Shadowrun with all of its original problems (the sometimes confusing and awkward UI, the linear/by-the-numbers campaign) pretty much fixed. I'm cautiously optimistic, but from their track record, I'd feel good about backing this KS (and I probably will in the near future).
The thing is I didn't really like Shadowrun Returns(I didn't like the story much or the choices) so putting money down for Dragonfall is for me somewhat of a risk(if you'd call it that) in itself.
I haven't backed a Kickstarter in a while (nearly a year now) so as I did with the initial Shadowrun Returns Kickstarter I'll back this.
285k already. And over 30 days to go...
I'm going to have to back this, didn't really get into Vanilla SRR but Dragonfall was amazing. If they can keep that up it'll be well worth it.

I didn't particularily like Returns, because of how crazy linear and restricted it felt. Nonetheless, I have absolutely loved Dragonfall - fixed everything wrong about Returns

htown1980: There is no chance they will be able to turn around and say that they aren't giving people gog keys, they will just have to be satisfied with Humble Store keys right? Right? RIGHT? RIGHT?????

Coelocanth: I backed it and don't feel there's much of a chance they'll go back on their word. After all, the first two are here on GOG, so I see no reason they'd suddenly decide they're going to rescind the statement on their kickstarter page that they're going to provide a GOG key for those that want it.
You are right. It should be fine and if its not, I had no trouble getting a refund from them last time...
Darn, I told myself to stay away from the "Discover" page in Kickstarter, but I couldn't resist clicking on this thread.
There goes another $15. ;)
And $15 for the Hong Kong. I really want to play as a Rat Shaman now. :/

Bouchart: They made two Shadowrun games and can't finance a third one without passing the collection plate around over at Kickstarter? Do they need the money for a new game engine?
Probably not, (sounds like they wanna continue using Unity) they just wanna develop a more ambitious game!
Reading between the lines I guess that they made some money with their previous games, but ways to less to finance a really good new one!
But hey, it looks like they made the right step! 315.000 are in and growing, thanks to well-chosen Tiers and the popularity of DragonFallDC!
Instabuy, cheers and +1 for the link :)
I think this might be the first time I'll ever back anything on Kickstarter. Need to create an account first though. ;)
Backed ! :) And great they offer a GOG option :)
Does Kickstarter support anything else than Credit Cards these days? I really consider to invest at least 15 bucks, these guys have proven that they can do the job.
... yeah yeah yes yes yes new Shadowrun dumdidum *sings* ...
