You need to see how this one ends!

SiN Gold, a classic first-person shooter with an original futuristic story of fight against an artificial outburst of criminal tendencies, and one of the best level designs of the 1990s, coming complete with the Wages of Sin expansion, is available for only $9.99 on GOG.com.

SiN Gold is one of the great and memorable first-person shooters of the olden days. Upon release it was highly praised for the great execution of its original and involving storyline and great level design, but sadly, it suffered from long loading times and pesky glitches. The fact that the patch fixing these problems was over 30MB in size in the times of Dial-Up Internet didn't help as well. That is how a game that deserves a prominent place in gaming's all-time hall of fame ended up slightly forgotten and overlooked by many FPS fans. With all the trouble way in the past, it is now time to get acquainted (or reunited) with this fantastic title! You can explore different puzzles and new routes each time you play. You will hack computer terminals, control security cameras, and wreak havoc. You will encounter new dangers and intelligent beings in every mission as you fight your way to the ultimate showdown! And you better believe it, an ultimate showdown it will be. The game comes complete with the Wages of Sin expansion.

Begin your crusade against crime and bring down the sinister syndicate lead by the beautiful but deadly Elexis Sinclaire in SiN Gold, for only $9.99 on GOG.com!
Hah! I could never get Wages to run! Great release!

HenitoKisou: So this is that better brother of Half Life but less known...
I wouldn't say that it's better, it certainly hasn't aged as well as Half-Life. But it's definitely under-appreciated.
I always wanted the expansion pack for this game! The game doesn't work in Windows 7 on STEAM currently, so it's great if this will work in Windows 7 and 8 using the GOG version!
Almost picked up a used copy of this a month ago. Definitely wishlisting it for now!
SiN was a bugfest at release. Didn't help the fact that it was released at the same time with the highly anticipated (then) Half Life and Unreal. But hidden under that rough it was a good story, likable heroes and villains ( Elexis Sinclair still can be considered one of the sexiest and shrewdest female villains in a video game ), destructible environment ( a lot of it, something that Half-Life and Unreal didn't exactly had ), secondary and tertiary objectives ( also something new at the time ) and some nicely designed missions. It took a lot of time to clear the bugs and only at the patch 1.10 the game became truly playable.

By the time when SiN finally managed to get on its feet, the year was 2001 and the FPS market exploded. In many ways, SiN was before times and it was truly unlucky to be launched in a rather unpolished state and at the same time with the most anticipated games of '98.

And yeah, i was one of the few people that actually loved the bloody game at the time.

oh look, it's ... the game referenced in the first ever Penny Arcade comic.

I always wanted to know what this was about, but never saw a copy in stores - and was too involved with StarCraft to have much time for anything else anyway (:
Does this release include colored lighting and 3DFX emulation? One of the things I remember about this game is that it had wonderful lighting and it isn't being shown off in any of the screenshots.

Yeah, I recall the game being rather quirky. I particularly recall weird issues in a stealth mission where you have to infiltrate an office complex or something. Wondering whether that mission is still as frustrating or annoying as it was when I last played it.

Edit: Also looking at the screenshots I can tell that someone was in a really good mood at the GOG office today.

Good heavens! Wishlisted instantaneously! :D I not only remember reading about this fabulous game I remember the demo. Glad I didn't buy SiN Episodes on Steam, as that seems to have been a nasty butcher job.

I also wonder if this version is 1.10 or 1.11-1.12. The last two patches removed nudity and drug references and some copyrighted assets and added cleaner versions.
Gee. Three classic releases in one week? Don't you go spoiling us now, GOG! =P

I've always been curious about this game, especially since I never did get around to playing it. *cursor hovering over buy button* ;)
Dammit GOG, I've been trying real hard to not re-buy old games I already have, but then you go and do this. Classic game PLUS the expansion!? Shame on you, GOG. Shame on you.
SiiiiNNNN! :D

I love this game, glad to see more people get a chance at playing it themselves. Too bad about Ritual being bought out by MumboJumbo and relegated to help making all those casual-style games, though.
Waitaminute.

Ritual Entertainment published this? You mean they're finally free of MumboJumbo's evil casual clutches?! PLEASE TELL ME THAT'S TRUE!
Hmmmmm...... I have this on Steam when it came with SiN Episodes. I'm interested to hear how the GOG release compares. Honestly, I prefer GOG releases to Steam releases in most cases. But Steams' cloud saves are a nice feature to have for some games. I can see picking this up from GOG, but I'd like to know if there are differences first.
