You need to see how this one ends!

SiN Gold, a classic first-person shooter with an original futuristic story of fight against an artificial outburst of criminal tendencies, and one of the best level designs of the 1990s, coming complete with the Wages of Sin expansion, is available for only $9.99 on GOG.com.

SiN Gold is one of the great and memorable first-person shooters of the olden days. Upon release it was highly praised for the great execution of its original and involving storyline and great level design, but sadly, it suffered from long loading times and pesky glitches. The fact that the patch fixing these problems was over 30MB in size in the times of Dial-Up Internet didn't help as well. That is how a game that deserves a prominent place in gaming's all-time hall of fame ended up slightly forgotten and overlooked by many FPS fans. With all the trouble way in the past, it is now time to get acquainted (or reunited) with this fantastic title! You can explore different puzzles and new routes each time you play. You will hack computer terminals, control security cameras, and wreak havoc. You will encounter new dangers and intelligent beings in every mission as you fight your way to the ultimate showdown! And you better believe it, an ultimate showdown it will be. The game comes complete with the Wages of Sin expansion.

Begin your crusade against crime and bring down the sinister syndicate lead by the beautiful but deadly Elexis Sinclaire in SiN Gold, for only $9.99 on GOG.com!

zubalove: Hmmmmm...... I have this on Steam when it came with SiN Episodes. I'm interested to hear how the GOG release compares. Honestly, I prefer GOG releases to Steam releases in most cases. But Steams' cloud saves are a nice feature to have for some games. I can see picking this up from GOG, but I'd like to know if there are differences first.
Steam version doesn't work properly, doesn't have expansion and is not sold anymore, those would be a couple :-P

Foxhack: Waitaminute.

Ritual Entertainment published this? You mean they're finally free of MumboJumbo's evil casual clutches?! PLEASE TELL ME THAT'S TRUE!
At Gog´s Facebook page they told they have been reformed again, dunno if it´s right, but after all these years finally my cash could go to Ritual´s hands : )

Drerhu: It has its flaws, but its totally playable right now (in comparaison with Daikatana or Blood 2, far more playable : )

PikaCommando: Bro don't even compare this game to those 2. It would have been a hit if it weren't for the loading times. The bugs after the patch are not a problem either. Those 2 on the other hand, is doomed from the start. Daikatana more so than Blood 2. I don't know, those 2 have lots of potential too okay? If it weren't for the rush, they would have been great games in their own rights too. It's just that those two's problem is everything, while SiN only have loading time and some bugs.
Totally agree. But I wanted to clarify people that they should purchase this game. You can´t even believe how much variety, different gameplay, themes, music, interactions could have. (In fact, when I was finishing the game I was like: "man..what a journey, maybe it has its roughts...but totally more lenghty and funny than Half-Life"

Oh. I had no idea it doesn't work. I never got around to installing it. Thanks for the heads up.

Well it probably works on Windows XP machines, might even work on 7 even tho I do read about a lot of issues with that as well. It doesn't even start with Win8

SeduceMePlz: Sold. ;)
Just wanted to ask who bought this only because of BEWBZ :D
I've been waiting for this one to get released here. Much too expensive though. Looking forward to it going on sale eventually (and hope that coincides with a time when I have a few extra dollars to spare.)

I hope, I HOPE, this means there's a chance, even if it's a small one, that Episodes will continue.

And that Wages will show up on Steam somehow.
For some reason, seeing this game released reminded me of Gumetal, by Mad Genius Software.

Not entirely sure why.

damien: would this publisher also mean Blair Witch games?
All the Blair Witch games were published by Gathering of Developers which now belong to Take-Two Interactive.
Happy to seem but a little down as a couple months ago I bought a retail copy without the expansion. Darn, should have waited. Will have to pick this up.

wolfsrain: It took a lot of time to clear the bugs and only at the patch 1.10 the game became truly playable.

F4LL0UT: Yeah, I recall the game being rather quirky. I particularly recall weird issues in a stealth mission where you have to infiltrate an office complex or something. Wondering whether that mission is still as frustrating or annoying as it was when I last played it.

Edit: Also looking at the screenshots I can tell that someone was in a really good mood at the GOG office today.
Google something like Sin elevator bug of death.

Unless it was ever fixed, you have to play the level up to
that point, die in the elevator, but when you go through
that level a second time, it works....

amok: ...I do not expect them to start chasing down all the various right holders, it is not worth the hassle for them. For that we need someone more dedicated to do this kind of things, like Night Dive, I think.
Exactly what I have been thinking - Night Dive could do it.
I don´t know what kind of game they are working on right now to get rights for, but I am sure it will be a blast.

I´d like to see here Requiem: Avenging Angel and Vivisector: Beast Inside one day :)
Thanks for finally bringing this title to GOG.
I already own a retail version registered on Steam of this that came with SiN Episodes: Emergence.
However, ever since my computer with Windows XP on it died for good, I haven't been able to run the Steam version of this game on an up-to-date Nvidia GPU and drivers on Windows 7. Without trying any fixes, it just gives me an error about Buffer Overrun Detected. Even with the trying all the fixes listed on pcgamingwiki, the game just will not launch.

So, my question goes as follows: is the GOG version of SiN plagued by the same problem ?
I'll certainly buy this game again if this version is rid of this nuisance.

Hi,

We got our version running just fine as far as I can tell and we certainly wouldn't let it go with that Buffer Overrun Detected error like that :)

Also, keep in mind we are ready to help you out as much as possible in the even that you have problems with our version of the game :)

If they manage to get Requiem here...they need to include a Gog angel character, seriously xD
