Any word of the "shameful news" we were supposed to get today? Would be a tragic series of events, if true. Think about it:

1) Hatred gets refused on Steam
2) Devs and potential customers get butthurt and go "Fuck'em! We'll just get it on GOG instead! They're the cool guys!"
3) Gaben sees all those precious Steambux slipping through his fingers and takes it upon himself to get Hatred back on Steam.
4) Hatred gets refused on GOG
5) ???
6) Profit!!! (for Steam, that is)

On a side note: Some of you guys got it all wrong, Postal² is not one of the worst games here, it's one of the best games. It's one of the most innovative games coming from an industry bereft of innovation. I can't think of a better example of subverting first person shooters than by making a game that has you wait in line at the cash register. It's also one of the better sandboxes out there and lets you go about things at your own pace (the developer's claim that "Postal² is only as violent as you are" is very much true). I'd easily rank it above the cinematic, militaristic garbage that has plagued shooters for the past 15 years.

Bad news, GOG WON'T be hosting this game.

Yep, suppose it's official

Sorry I didn't figure that GOG's (new?) target audience are anti-gamers that need their content censored, as they can't stand the idea of some exploding pixels being sold on Their Site. Sorry for my wallet, that is.

RIP GOG, was fun while it lasted.

EDIT: apparently need to be logged into facebook to see it or something, attached the screenshot

I really dislike that GoG.com is acting like moral police... -1 point of respect to CDPR, also rethinking where will I buy my games from in the future...

I'm not sure CDPR is responsible, or even influences, the people in GOG's QA/game admission block. If they did, they'd likely censor Witcher in the first place. But hell if I know.

sorry, stupid empty space, fixed now.

I don't know, I don't care... I hate moral police in general, GoG.com is owned by CDPR.

Hmm you apparently need to be logged into facebook to see it. I suppose 'cause 18+ or some bullshit. I'll just upload a screenshot, but

Hatred will not be available on GOG platform as it was widely expected, because of GOG’s refusal for game distribution.

Should be interesting to see if the developers put enough creativity into the game to keep it from becoming repetitive.

Just watched the promo videos and it looks like shooting, more shooting, fatality-like executions, a bit where you get a vehicle and do more shooting, and that's about it.

It can have blood and bodies stacked to the ceiling, but if it ends up being boring, that would be inexcusable.
Just leaving here a image with a dev reply to a person asking if GOG was not interested in distributing the game.

Well, it's not the first time they blatantly go against the community's wishes. Maybe sending some PMs to the head honcho might help.

After all this controversy over the Steam release, not selling this game is like proudly proclaiming "Hey, guys! We're officially lamer than Steam!" Disheartening, to say the least.

At the very least, I would like some explanation from the GOG staff as to why a game with 3500 wishlist votes (and which the devs appear to be very eager to sell here) gets shot down.

This is bullshit. GOG supports no DRM but doesn't support freedom of speech?

Guess I'll be creating a Desura account and continuing to shop at Gamersgate for now. Since GOG are moral police I'll be seriously weighing any future purchases here carefully. I'd hate for the games to get removed suddenly because it offended someone.
