F4LL0UT: ...GOG doesn't even care much about the German rating system, still selling tons of games which are banned in Germany to German users (including ones which are banned for the same reasons as Commandos)....
Tons of games which are banned in Germany? I think you are exaggerating:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_banned_video_games#Germany

There are many censored games here and many indexed, but very few that are really banned.
Looks through the thread..

Just Another Wallet: Just leaving here a image with a dev reply to a person asking if GOG was not interested in distributing the game.
This has got to be the most pathetic thing I've seen CDPR do next to the piracy witch hunt for TW2. I mean seriously, this is hypocrisy with a capital fucking H. We just 'can't' carry the game. Hello EA..is that you? Is that you EA?

PaterAlf: Tons of games which are banned in Germany? I think you are exaggerating:
Like many people I'm using "ban" here more freely and refer to all games which can't be distributed and advertized freely (and many people use it to refer to media which have been pulled not because of legal pressure but because the companies behind them decided that showing them to the public were not a good idea). I know that that's not literally what that word means but I think such a use is legit, especially considering what it means for distribution in Germany when a game is indexed or just didn't receive a USK rating. Plus I'm including all uncensored versions of games which had censored versions created for the German market and which are the ones Germans usually get at any store or other distributor. I also include games where the index status has expired and which may thus not be included on up-to-date lists anymore but which also haven't been greenlit by the USK (yet). There are really many games on GOG that fulfill these factors.

Cheater87: What was the reason it was not allowed here?
no one really knows, the general vocal consensus is do to the controversy around the game but that's your typical overracting vocal minority keyboard warrior BS.

All we have is a post from someone on the dev team or someone who handles their facebook saying that the game was rejected by GOG and that GOG said the game was good but they just couldn't sell it. Which could mean anything, it's as vague as the reason GOG initially gave Cat Lady(a awesome and dark adventure game btw) when they rejected that which was "it wasn't a good fit" granted they rescinded and brought the game here, same with Xenonaughts which was rejected for being to high of a price for a indy...

So it's possible Hatred could still come here but I don't think the crazy keyboard warrior posts claiming conspiracies of SJWs and tossing insults at GOG/CDPR is going to help much.. At least in the case of Cat Lady and Xenonaughts people were upset but they didn't act like this.
I only posted on their Facebook page that I was disappointed to hear it was not allowed and that I was looking forward to getting it on GOG, very civil. :)

not talking about you specifically, I was talking in general as there has been alot of less then mature and civil reactions to this game not being accepted. But I suppose that's just what the internet has become: overreactions, keyboard warrioring, conlusions turned into 100% fact, ect.

MaximumBunny: You wouldn't be replacing someone any better at it. You're way more in touch with these things than the team/members currently in charge of it.

JudasIscariot: Ehhh not really, I am not all that with it, trust me :)
All you'd have to do is press the Yes or No button, and poof the decision is made on Hatred......jk

But really, don't be afraid to voice your opinion to your superiors. If they're not going to even tell the dev why they wouldn't release the game then someone should let them know that we, the peasants, do not approve of the monarchs at GOG making this decision.

Like me, you're an American and that would work. In Europe however, when you question a superior its off with your head!

tinyE: Has anyone ever considered the possibility that GOG isn't selling it because it's an overblown overpriced piece of shit?
Yes.

I am not interested in this game, on GOG or elsewhere. It looks pretty crappy.

I do not want GOG to carry games for ideological reasons, just if they are good games that fit GOG's other picky criteria as well.

Are you saying all these games are crappy as well? They might be. I've only tried to play Daikatana, and it seemed pretty crappy.

I'm not interested in getting more crappy games on GOG just because we already have some crappy games here.

Daikatana is a piece of gaming history. All the other games because they are part of series with great games.

i saw some screens.... some guys on the floor i a puddle of gore looked like law enforcers?

hacking and slaying ingames is okay, but hacking the good people will send out wrong messages.
why would a gamer whack a law enforcer?

i have lots of dvd movies and some games with gore and guts :D
but its always the good guy that wins, cause if they dont i will return the dvd :D

i like good endings: all bad guys dead and if possible with a minimum of law enforcers loss.

whacking a bad corrupted cop is okay, killing good lawenforcers is bad.
